From my own experience, shaving the head as bald as possible really does help. Not necessarily from an application point of view, but for the sake of the shedding phase. The shedding can really cause alarm, so it is not as noticeable when the hair is bald for the first month or so. Give it a month and then allow it grow. Hopefully by then you should be over the dreaded shedding phase.

Sir I started using minoxidil forte 5% by shaving my hair. My doubt is I have seen some videos saying like we have to use it twice daily, can i keep head cap after using mintop forte 5% oil as ill be going to office with different shifts. hello, you should not use hair oil and minoxidil together directly to the scalp, and hair oil works as a conditioner to the hairs, and during use of minoxidil, oil should apply to the hair shaft, not to the scalp. You can consult this with your dermatologist.

-not at all required to wash hair! -you can just wash twice a week , Also use home made (alovera+Coconut oil) to Condition your hair -Note - Minoxidil works only on crown area !

hello If there is total bald area then minoxidil doesn’t work. Minoxidil works only when there is hair root. Minoxidil doesn’t grow new hair. Minoxidil doesn’t make new root. So we question of having new hair? Now how it works, minoxidil grows anagen phase. Minoxidil increases blood supply to the scalp. Due to good blood supply hair becomes thick and growth occurs and terminal hair comes. That’s why it can also apply to full hair for thicker hairs. hello You have started minoxidil F solution after consulting doctor. See morr F contain minoxidil and finasteride ,both acts topicaly majority of times after starting minoxidil you may see that after 15 days to one month that there is hairfall. So for that we cannot say minoxidil is not working or your hairfall is not controlled, but falling of hair is usually a good sign that your minoxidil has started working on hair loss. See minoxidil increases anagen phase. In your case annagen phase is cut short and went to telegon phase. That is resting phase. So what minoxidil does is, it shades off all the telegone phase hairs and starts with annagen phase. Thank you sir for your valuable videos. Doctor has advised me to use only 7 to 8 drops which is 0.5 ml. Is this amount sufficient for me?. Sir, i have been using menoxidil since 15 days now...I m loosing a fair amount of hair since 2 years...nd now finally I am taking treatment! I have shortened my hair till a very considerable extent! Bt when I apply menoxidil solution my hair fall increases a bit! Small strands start coming out in my hand as I try to rinse the solution over my scalp! Is this a side effect? Hello Abhijit, you can apply oil during minoxidil application, but that too with care. Oil works as a conditioner to the hair to apply the oil to the hair shafts not to the scalp directly because it could react with the minoxidil present on the scalp.

hello, Mahesh, it depends on the cause of hair loss. if you are having hair loss due to androgenetic alopecia then you have to take minoxidil along with the finasteride till you want hairs on your scalp. because androgenetic alopecia is never curable but can be controlled
