I liked Will O’spreay from the moment he got grilled by all of the old school wrestlers for his Ricochet “superhero gymnastics” match. Instead of just retreating to a corner and avoiding the confrontation, he actually had a wrestling match with one of those critics, in Big Van Vader (R.I.P.) O’spreay understood that there was money to be made from the natural heat. And he didn’t shy away from not only meeting one of his antagonizers, but working a match with him. True Pro.

I love Will for how Humble, he really is. He says he isn't as good as etc etc because he doesn't have the ego of a mega star. He's relatable for that reason and I respect him more because of that.

His Tony Kahn impression was hilarious lol he sized Will up to find the best way to attach himself for the hug 🤗

I dunno Chris, I prefer this Will Ospreay than the previous. He still busts out the crazy moves, but not everytime and he builds towards it. And he tells such a better story in the ring, and he looks like he understands the psychology much better now to connect and play with the crowd.

Ospreay is just a stand up guy. He deserves everything good that comes his way. Freaking legend already!

I love how humble Will is more wrestlers need to be like that. He respects the business and everybody who's in it who's great and he doesn't think he's better than anybody else more people in the world Need to be like him.

He's grown and evolved as a wrestler, a man, and as a performer. He's so well rounded now to where he's the total package. So much so could even be his gimmick lol

I never would have pegged Osprey to be Mr. Humble Jones over here. So cool to see. Hopefully we get to see more of him with the upcoming mega shows.

It came off (to me) that his reason for not being the "Old Ospreay" is that everything he used to do is being done by people in AEW already and if he did those things, he'd just be another guy doing the same flips and dives as everyone else. He saw that and he made the conscious decision not to do it. He concentrated on what he can bring to the table that the other guys don't. It's great that Will has the ability to do those flips, dives, and stunts, but if he realized that if that's all he has to offer, he doesn't have anything different or unique; and a talent with the wherewithal to see, acknowledge, and adapt to that is a rarity in wrestling today.

Good for you Will. This evolution is gonna keep you in the game longer. His match with Dax was a WRESTLING match, with fundamentals. And it was so so good. I enjoyed every minute. Loved the high flying stuff, but let’s see you wrestle more mate. As a fellow Essex lad, loved this interview 👏🏻

He has a point, what can Will Ospreay do in AEW that we haven’t already seen, like in 2017,18 shit was amazing, but now everyone can do it, making it non impressive. Obviously still impressive, but the pop won’t be there like it was in 2018 when possibly nobody has seen what Ospreay and Ricochet were doing

Wow I'm happy osprey is smarter than most people in the biz it seems. No point going out and doing meaningless flips and high spots when that's what most of the roster does. I've never really liked his work but glad he said that

Most of my friends aren’t weekly wrestling watchers, most of them only watch when they’re with me and it’s AEW mostly with WWE. All the dudes LOVE Will Ospreay. Getting over with the “casuals” speaks volumes to how great he is

Honestly if we want him to be around for years to come we have to accept his style change...personally I think he should go part time with a lower schedule in aew and preserve his career.he really is special and I don't want him to just dissappear because of injuries that are stacking up.he can still deliver but needs to be used and presented more strategically

I don't understand how chris doesn't get what Will is saying when he says he isn't that "unique" in AEW, when Will was coming up 5-7 years ago aew wasn't around and the world saw Wills style as innovate but Will has influenced a ton of wrestlers who are now on TV every week, granted they aren't always as smooth as Will but fans that aren't familiar with Will, will just see another flippy guy. The thing is that Wiill wants to evolve, be the best and stick out from the pack while also saving his body/extending his career.
