Part of it is performance oriented for entertainment. Ospreay didn't have a broken wrist because he wouldn't have continued fighting......Great match and two excellent athletes.

@@prashanthamar770 I bet this is your opinion to all combat sports, how it's unsafe and hurts the performers, but let me tell you that a wrestler has a high chance of still being able to work above 50 or even 60 compared to boxers or MMA fighters, that's how safe wrestling can be. Professional wrestling is relatively safe, the only reasons for an early retirement being either severely injured in an accident (which is rare nowadays), external influences like drugs, or personal wishes.
