@@richardroy6179 that's my point , the ongoing meds for his thick blood diagnosis , and I know he mentioned heart issues as well in previous vids.. Heart stint etc ....this is what happened to Juells , his meds and treatments drained all the life savings nearly for that family before he died ...and btw it's expensive to die ...when hospitals are involved ...we should all be wary of this ..shoestring budgets just don't cut it ..here in Philippines when medical disasters arise ..and savings disappear quite rapidly ..seen it happen over the last decade here with other friends and associates expats here boots on ground ..

Yep I personally believe he should have went back to America to get everything done. Healthcare in the Philippines is Terrible and might as well be Voodoo in my Book. They will prescribe you Medicine that doesn’t work and guess at the Real Problems. Hopefully Paul gets better and rethinks future events regarding his Health.

Hi Mike this is Roy from Scotland. I have recently had my right eye cataract op which was very successful. Mike it takes up to ONE MONTH after the op. During this month you have to put eye drops into your eye to prevent any infection. I was lucky i could see very clearly the very next day but my surgeon said my eye will see best after 1 to 2 months. I also had to go to my local optomotrist to have a check up and both eyes test. I hope this info will help you Mike and Janet. Paul will have a plastic eye patch to wear as well. Next time you speak to Paul please offer him my best wishes and good health and far better eye sight from Roy in Scotland.

Blurry vision for reading distance after cataract surgery is normal, because the lense replacent is likely for distance vision. That's exactly what happened to me. Reading glasses will help. Paul, I hope you have a quick recovery with your respiratory infection. Your quitting smoking will help a lot. Good on ya for that. Hey man, we need you back here on YT. Hey Mike, Thank you for letting us know. I was wondering about Paul and his health. My brother had Cataract surgery and I will need one too. Funny thing is, with my brother, his 1st surgery was great, he regain perfect vision after 3 days but the 2nd surgery, with same Doc, took him 4 months to get good vision. So, just tell Paul to hang on, some times things take time. I am sure his wife is taking good care of him. All the best to both of you and God Bless.

LOL! Paul can't quit YT! Way to many will miss him! I quit smoking overnight. He can do it. It is a habit more than an addiction. All the nicotine is gone out of your body overnight. Get rid of everything and when you get up the next morning go out for a walk. Now my gf offered to have sex every time I felt like smoking, so obviously I always want to smoke for months, and she finally caught on but continued having fun! I really hope Paul gets well soon. Cataract surgery isn't that complex even done in the Phils. It's just that the patient need to rest his eyes a while to avoid infection. Paul will be OK in due time! Prayers for your speedy recovery, Paul ...just get enough of your much needed rest, YT can wait!

Hope Paul will be ok. Veteran traveller to Phils from Norway. My first trip in Phils was in 2015 and in 2017 and in 2019 and in 2022 and now i go there again in november 2 and i stay here 5 months. Phils amazing country and i watch many different videos about phils. My wife from phils so thats why i can stay here some months. She work in Norway now. Phils a good country if you are carefull and play your cards right you can be safe in phils. Nice video keep them coming up. Have a good health its important in life.

Paul has been a beacon and wealth of information for a long time! Certainly the eye surgery(s) can take one out of the rotation for a bit, blurry vision, headaches from that, I imagine. Plus then the other eye...So once all that is passed and feeling better, I'm sure he'll be back! Such an engaging and fun fella! Sorry to hear about the chest cold. I know Paul was talking about medical expenses. My daughter paying $1200/mo premium for 3 on their medical insurance in CA. The other day we took my granddaughter to the children hospital ER for stomach flu. Stayed 4 hours gave her Zifran tab to stop vomiting. Diagnosis stomach flu. Total bills: insurance paid $62.00 usd, she paid $1925.00 usd. Now that is a highway robbery. Considering some of the patient there are illegal or in welfare Medical, California’s Medicaid 😮😮😮.
I always look forward to the videos that Paul puts out, he has helped so many and is a great person. RU-vid will be loosing a great vlogger and a great man if he does decide to quit.

I had cateract sugery in 2004, and it helped for awhile, but the implants can get clouded up and need to be cleaned with a laser. I had that done in my better eye. They do one eye at a time in case there's a bad outcome. They want to make sure they don't blind both eyes. They basically cut your eye open and suck the lense out and the implants are a replacement. The sun is very bright once the cataract is removed and you can't see well because the cataract was acting like a sunblock. Love Paul's videos, only one I didn't like is when he had some crook on who was chilling for his assisted living center which now has a hotel on the land and I'm not sure if they built any units for the patients, but that guy has been around for years and all that was built so far was a hotel. The Care plan he was promoting for people to live there with medical care wasn't a great bargain, and when I first saw the scammer on another channel years ago he was very unprofessional.
Truthfully -- he wasn't looking especially well. I could see it in his face and demeanor lately. He has some health issues to deal with in his own way. All anyone can do is wish him well and allow him the space to heal. His method of dealing with these issues need be respected. He surely knows all the well wisher he has out here ! ❤🙏🤞
These guy's are elderly and not in the best of health - They move to Philippines - Get a province girl pregnant - Have a stroke or whatever - Then they start asking for donations - That doesn't sit well with me . . .

yeah I listen to Paul several times a week. obviously, I enjoy the diversity of his videos. Paul has stated difficulties in getting his surgeries. Perhaps the old nemesis of feeling helpless / depressed is affecting him. I thank you for this video because there's times are times when we all need a shot in the arm stating that we all need Paul. Next I'll watch 1 of Paul's videos to let him know that he matters.

I’d love to sit with some Americans over coffee and shoot the shit. Paul encouraged me to start a RU-vid channel. Tried. Got burned out so fast. 😂 that’s a lot of work and I have a small farm keeping me busy. I can see where people get tired of doing RU-vid but I sure hope he comes back.
Tell Paul that I am praying for him. Also, let him know that quitting smoking is very hard, I quit smoking almost 25 and a half years ago. It is the best thing for my health that I have ever done.

Its hard to quit smoking, but u have to be determined. I smoked cigarette ( non-stop ) for fifteen years. The last ( buff ) was in december 1988. It was really hard for two weeks struggling the appeals to go back smoking, but I was the conqueror. It was one of the worst things I regreted I did in my life.
If Paul quit smoking then he is probably wanting to stay quiet for a while. When I quit, I was a bear for almost a week while I went thru withdrawl and did not want to talk with people about it as it made the fight harder. Hopefully he is detoxing from it and will pop up in a couple of days.
