I watched the Barbara Walters interview and a few months later I broke my neck and was paralyzed from the neck down. When I was in trauma that I was high level spinal cord injured (C,3-4) it was because of Reeves I knew what it meant. He was my hero too

As much as I have complete 100% faith and trust in James Gunn and I am sure David Cornenswet will be fantastic in the role for the new film coming out next year, I have to be honest and say that I wish they had just cast Will in the role. I don't think anybody would have had a problem with that and I think it would have been perfect and such an incredible tribute to his dad to honor his legacy.

The Reeves story was such a tragic reminder that we're all so fragile and one serious fall that could change our lives forever. What they did with their remaining time was heroic and inspirational. It would have been better to have his mom and dad around to guide him, but the legacy they left behind for the kids is pretty amazing as well.

his older siblings still have their mom, he has no parent left. i can't imagine how horrible losing them must have been for him, he was still a child when everything happened.
