Time to face reality. Steel is over. With AI and quantum computing on the horizon there will be new stronger and more energy efficient materials. Steel was great but it’s time is passing.
Not in our lifetime. The demand for steel is still strong, it’s just that US Steel could not keep up with cheaper, modern, efficient steel making methods their competitors use. And by the way, AI is at its infancy.
