There is some stuff that is kind of annoying but it's all just generic tropes I look past them at this point. I love the series it's like the second one I watched that got me in to anime. I love the themes and there were some really good moments especially that first episode. I just feel like every jump between floors we just got so much missed character development.

I disliked it because it glanced over the part of the FD Arc that I liked the most and that was cut from the Anime. Not that I liked the FD ark all that much but I would say it is number 3 of my favorite arcs.

An SAO character I’d love to see more of in the Progressive anime is Argo. She got only one line in the entire original anime if I recall correctly. She’s really cool. Her in-game role as an info broker could be shown more.

Just finished reading the first volume of SAO 2 days ago and all I can say is that the pacing is insanely fast. The thing I enjoyed the most in the novel is the interactions between Asuna and Kirito _(because it's funny and romantic, their chemistry is so natural)._ Albeit Aincrad Arc felt like it was more about their relationship than the actual game itself most of the time. Good thing that Progressive exist to fill up what the first volume *skipped.*

Besides, to me, milking is when non-canon content gets adaptations, or when they create something new without the assistance of the original author. So, to me, this is not the same.

SAO has been a joy ride and at this point, I don't even know if it's just hated a lot or loved a lot, but all I know is that I just enjoyed it with a few parts where I was just, "what?" Can't wait for more SAO content though!

It's either you're one of the two. SAO is loved by many people especially in Japan where it's considered a pop culture phenomenon while most of the hate on the other hand comes from the western community _(the social media specifically)._ Personally though I haven't met a single person who said they hate SAO, most of the people I met/know personally either liked it or haven't watched it. And when I have the time to visit some conventions it's usually SAO who dominates the cosplay section. So ig even tho there are plenty of people who criticize the show online, there are more people who love and support it. As they say, some people are only brave behind their keyboards but in reality they don't have the guts to say it upfront.

Yeah, I get that, it's just it has been one hell of a ride and now we're in space, so that's something to look forward but really, I am hyped for this Progressive series since it's really a fleshed out SAO series we all were supposedly supposed to have from the start, but hey, Thanks for reminding me that Japan really is just okay with this kind of stuff and not those from the Western side finding it cringy or just outright weird and wrong.

I am just hoping like yourself that they give sao the treatment it deserves, especially because we don't know what A1 pictures is planning for moon cradle and unital ring. So they actually have plenty of time to flesh out sao: p since unital ring is so early in the story. As for characters I want to see argo and kizmel. But it's also going to be nice to see more of laughing coffin since they are starting to become more and more prevalent in sao: p right now

Im honestly so glad about SAO progressive anime. I have a lot of friends who only like the aincrad "death game" Arc of SAO (and I cant say I blame them) but im the only one of them who enjoys the rest of the show too. I'm hoping that it gives the same feel as the death game arc while providing lots more to the story, I also really hope that the soundtrack is just as good or even better than season 1. I feel seasons 2, 3 and War of the Underworld soundtracks weren't too great...

I know many people are expecting plenty of screentime between Kirito and Asuna, the problem is that we know already how they ended up being together and when it happened (episode 10), now SAO Progressive main focus is between ep2 and 3 of the very first season. So the only thing you should expect is lots of tsundere moments with a little bit of teases between them. Yes, there are cute moments of course but, by any means, do not expect a kiss. What you should expect is Argo, and I believe she is the main reason why the anime is focusing in progressive right now instead of asking Reki to rush Unital Ring LN. I havent read Unital Ring yet, but I know that Argo takes participation on it.

While Progressive arc will basically go over the missing gaps within the Aincrad arc. Where they will introduce new characters, characters relationships and dive deeper in issues like laughing coffin, but it will focus more on Kirito and Asuna as they complete the 100 floors.

I can understand why a lot of people like Alicization, but in my opinion it was painful to watch Kirito starting from the beginning again, especially with none of his friends, as well as barely having any memories. They did eventually show up though, which I guess was good, but it felt like they were dragging out the story a lot.

Fun Fact: The time between clearing Floor 74 and Floor 75 was 20 real world days. Assuming that each floor would be more difficult and take longer than the previous one, had Kayaba not been discovered it would've taken them *at least* another 16 months to clear the game. Or, quite possibly, Kirito would've still been trapped in SAO at the time of the Ocean Turtle raid in July 2026, meaning he would've never met Alice and Eugeo.

I've been hooked at the SAO Integral Factor mobile game, and the story goes floor by floor up until floor 35, you should try it, it gives more depth on the story we already know so far..

I know this isn't the focus of this video but since unital ring has the first real tie to accel world I want to see the rest of that put into an anime since the first season only covers the first couple of light novels. And at this point there is do much more content with the light novels. Especially because between season one of accel world and the movie infinite burst there is a huge time skip there

So I’m really late to this. Mainly cause I knew nothing about Progressive but now I’m back after watching the first movie and your reaction. I just want to say what/who I really want back…… is Yui…….. yes. I know. A lot of people hated Yui’s character. But I personally loved it. I thought she was adorable and seeing Asuna and Kirito bonding over their first “child” was beautiful……. Do I think she will come back? Probably not. But I really do hope she does. #Freedom4Yui

My problem was their gear. It never changes. Kirito got his cloak on floor 1, then on the floors in the 70s he is still wearing it. Same for the sword. In mmos you are constantly changing gear, so its pretty cheap for them to always wear the same thing.

I just hope they do it right. They just have 6 volumes. If they don't want to rush they can do 2 season. S1 floor 1 to 4. That will give time to Progressive 7 and 8 (floor 7 and 8) and and S2 of floor 5 to 8. Also I don't have trouble with some additional fo the manga just hope they wont do some scenes like they did in Alicization. But I am very very hype (I have read and finish the 6 volumes)

Wouldn't it be better if they end it at Scherzo (5) instead of Barcarolle (4)? Scherzo has a much more satisfying ending.

@@NHDOreBros Could be, I was like trying to think how to do the best with just 6 volumes and if you want to divide in 2 season maybe 4 and 4 byt could be a possibility

@@reight6447 Floor six is a bloody long story tho, it's twice as long as the other floors. 1 to 5 and then 6 to 8 or 9 imo would be a better split depending on how long floor 7 and 8 are.

@@NHDOreBros Good point, I mean to floor 4 so they dont rush. But yes for me floor 5 will be a good S1 ending. Ans yes floor 6 is huge but maybe if they do well they cam do like 8 ep from floor 6 but if they rush 4 ep

Good Video, but you didn't even mention that the Setup for the Caliber Side story was cut from the anime. But to be honest I would rather have another Accelword Anime then more SAO as I fell out of love with it in Alicization back when the novel wasn't even licensed in the west. (My luck as I could save the money from buying them and then finding out it goes to sh..., made the mistake with season one of the anime already). Sadly the Accelworld Movie didn't do it any favors with showing events so far in the future of the story that no anime only could have any idea what was going on. Making it uninteresting for this Fans.

@@FoxenAnime I can understand a dislike for the arc, in the anime especially I think they cut the best part and it was drawn out for the time it covered. And the world of Alfheim is a lot of wasted potential, but it was also the arc that showed people that the title giving game SAO was over, that the concept of death was more or less gone. But maybe he just wanted to write different things so he didn't waste much time on it so he could go one to GGO. But I must admit my most favorite arc was the Mother Rosario Arc. But why the hate? I can understand dislike but hate? Because there was no fear of death?
