Hollywood in general as well as professional athletes have a self entitlement that the rich and famous just think they should have that separates them from the others of us who can’t go there in how they handle things or do the things they can because of their fame and money. Totally agree with you. Will seems to be going through some dark times in his marriage to Jada and Chris Rock was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. I think if Will Smith hadn’t of snapped at the awards , it definitely would have happened somewhere else. Like everything in life, if we don’t talk about things and start bottling things up, your head will explode into a rage. Been there done that, got the T shirt bro. Chris Rock may be a small man but he is a giant in my eyes! Will Smith is a much smaller man than I had him pegged for. I have no love for Hollywood or its out of touch celebrities.
I think Will took it to far. I sure would hate to see what happens if he is roasted at this time. But I respect Chris Rock for not pressing charges. He was the better man. I am also glad Will Smith apologized.
I don't get why everyone keeps saying Chris was making fun of Jada's disease. He wasn't he was merely comparing her new look to GI Jane, which to me seems more like a compliment.

Chris was hired to roast the crowd that's his job on these shows and everyone knows it going in, for Smith to do this for real doesn't make sense. No one is off limits at these shows. If he really did then what type of president did he set going forward. If someone says something about you or your wife it's OK to assault them with no accountability. Why wasn't he escorted out of the building and arrested. Where's the Oscar Committee on their response and how they're going to protect other hosts from assault. The privileged always gets a pass. I lost any respect I had for him.
I thought that was a little suspicious when I saw this tape. Could it have been planned? Don’t know but I do think Chris is a funny, funny young man and I do like his movies.

I completely respect your position on this. I just wanted the point out his initial reaction was laughter. He wasn’t mad until he saw Jada was upset. So that’s how I made the connection to Jada being the catalyst for the violence.

I believe Chris knew how and were Wills state of mind was before hand. it was kinda a cheap shot on Chris's part and on Will's. It just shocked the whole world.
I can't speak for the things that go on in Will and Jada's lives because I've not heard of those story's. But I do know Jada has been very public about the condition see suffers from that caused her hair loss. And it's been a heart breaking thing for her to deal with, like women who have hair loss from cancer treatments. I think Chris took a cheap shot at her to get a laugh and it was a area he shouldn't have went to. I think Will was just defending his wife here. If someone would have taken a cheap shot at my wife on the national stage like that, I probably would have slapped his ass too!! Chris knew her issues with her condition and should have never went there!!
