I had a few customers reschedule cause they thought they panels would crack with the last heat wave we had and here we are again with another heat wave lol but more hotter this time! You’re killing it bro!
Hi Tymo, just done my first solar panel wash, I notice in the corner of the panel there are cracks. Wondering what can that be. Solar panel only 1 years old.
Is temperature controlled water and air blower not enough to do the job on peak hours or when panels are hot? Cause hot panels hot wash hot dry.. We won't change temperature which causes the cracks...
The danger with this is you're not cracking the glass on the modules by walking on them. At least not something you can detect with the naked eye - By walking on the modules, you're causing microcracks underneath the glass.
Nope. Cool water is fine. If thermal changes would shatter panels there would be a epidemic of shattered panels. Why? Let's take July and August as examples. Gets a little warm doesn't it? Ever seen a summer thunderstorm pop up? Especially with a little hail. That rain is much colder than tap water. 130+° panels and cold thunderstorms would shatter panels every time it rained. My panels are rated to withstand golf ball sized hail. They've seen marble sized plenty of times. Also a shattered panel still produces power
