With a spark from a 9v battery or a flame, steel wool makes a great fire starter. Try using stainless steel scrubbing pads and don't pack them in there so tight. You're trying to distort the sound, you're not loading a musket.
Try this! Back when I built these I took an old engine enamel can and drilled holes in the end, and filled the can with steel wool. It helped quiet the bike down without a huge loss in power. Works pretty awesome if you’re neighborhood is a bunch of old snobby rich people😂. Really enjoy the videos! Thanks for the entertaining and fun content!
Drill a bunch of holes in your pipe and weld a pipe that’s 2 or 3 inches bigger in diameter and stuff stainless steel wool or fiberglass muffler material between them. That’ll help cut the noise
You screwed the flow all up!! The expansion chamber is an absolute necessity!! Think of a 2 stroke as being super charged by the venturi effect of the exhaust.
I love longboarding bro. It's always so peaceful. Also guess the build up of steel in the exhaust would do the opposite of having a polished exhauste and also holds in the heat. Your header probably really helps out with the cooling in this scenario
Dont worry about hurting em too bad these little china engines are pretty tough, just try not to let them idle for too long without giving a rev here and there to keep the oil going.
I had my Yamaha IT 465 start smoldering my beautiful homemade silencer, outside a pub, had to throw multiple pints of water up it, was embarrassed/funny.x
This is actually dumb because the way you put the steel wool in it can make shards of steel wool in the exhaust and some can blow back into the engine and destroy the walls
On a 4 stroke I would definitely agree. On a 2 stroke with an expansion pipe idk, the pulses cancel each other out for fuel scavenging. Maybe it could just by gravity & vibrations with the pipe being above the engine. Personally I wouldn't chance it.
@@CootersCarport there's no way it's 40 mm just the stud spacing maybe but not the inside diameter of the pipe, you should get an MZ Miami intake off eBay they're dirt cheap I think they're like 23 mm inside diameter
I will tell you the physics on why you got a fireball coming out of your exhaust it's a thing called steel wool is flammable if you don't believe me take a torture song and you'll see what happens.
I gotta try it with my cruiser, I have da same engine as urs, tho all stock just da carburetor, & da air filter is "high performance" da rest is stock!!
I’m hoping to do something awesome, taking a little inspiration from both the motorized bicycle and human powered vehicle community and build a motorized full-body delta recumbent tricycle (yes that’s a mouthful) I’ll refer to as a HPGT (Human powered Gran Turismo), namely because, if it works, it’ll use initially a predator 212 and pedal power to cruise at least at 60mph if not get even faster. Seems dangerous of course but so long as the body is rigid and the fiddling around is done progressively there shouldn’t be too much risk.
Its just the carb on these things you have to get a racing carb and a short intake it only costs about 30 bucks for both and the exhaust is also very free flowing and the stock carbs don't like that
@@willthornton9914 no man, you just have to tune.. sometimes the intake don't go all way down the carb. A simple filling solves the intake air leak.. buuut, just if the leak is there
@@Fumacenta2tempos oh yeah I bet that made a difference its a pain finding the right jet to go with right exhaust but the reason I don't like the stock carbs is because more than half the ones I've had came with leaks in the floats
Strap down your chest camera better, it's too shaky. Either that or your phone camera has horrible stabilization if that's what you are using to record
I'm an American I believe time is most valuable thing we have and it should not be wasted you can't get it back and you can't buy it that was a waste of time saying that
