Dr Maurice Collins discusses whether or not hair transplant surgery can leave a scar.
"When the human skin is incised by a scalpel or either by trauma, the skin always heals by forming a scar. If the surgery is done correctly, a one millimeter mark is left by the FUT process, and interestingly, the FUE process leaves more scar tissue, but because it's spread over a wide surface area it's less noticeable."
