@@phgamer4393Part of the reason it’s so common not just in SV but all over, is because a lot of the workers are on work visas. Lots less job protection and ability to seek recompense when you’re not a citizen and have to choose between working most hours of the week and being sent back home.

If you ever actually owned any business you would know the Federal government accounts for a massive amount of the revenue a lot of companies get. The amount of businesses that would go under if the Feds didn't spend money would be astronomical.

I’ve owned my own business now for 18 years and have opened three locations. Subsidized businesses are not a good idea. It just cost the all tax payers for a business not in the own state or employee any of the states citizens. The government gives you the ability to get all you have invested back from a company tax free and have tax advantages to own a business. The federal government should not be in the business of choosing winners and loosing. Obama invested billions in solar factories in Organ and Wisconsin then put a 35% tariffs on all imported solar panels. The CCP which owns all the state businesses lower the price of Chinese solar panels $100 less than cost of US manufactured. Where is my tax rebate from that subsidized business?

Thats why they laid people off, to reverse the money spent on raises
