I purchased a EPS Carry MRS in Green and Red. I returned the Red. The Green illumination is vastly superior to the Red, and Holosun has managed to give the Green version a MUCH better Auto Brightness control because of the better power consumption.
Yesterday I ordered my EPS carry MRS (green) for my Sig p365xl Spectre Comp, but I had a lot of doubts about taking it in red, I was very happy to read your opinion
I ran Red for years tried my friends green dot and sold all my red sights except one and replaced with green. It's definitely a preference thing but I love the green.
Also just so everyone knows they have really good customer service! I have mine on a Glock 40 10mm and had a full 30rnd mag in it. It’s a pretty heavy load and it fell from my backpack which it then landed directly on to the cement with the holosun being the part that made first contact. It still worked fine, but it had some ugly dents in it. I filled the warrant out and they replaced it for the cost of shipping. Thought that was pretty cool they fixed it even though it was all my fault. Took about 2 weeks for the turn around.
@@dukessportshop The defective optics were returned to our distributor and Holosun promptly replaced them, but the model was eliminated from consideration and our test units will be sold as surplus. Our final two came down to the Holosun SCS and Trijicon RMR RM06. We are just waiting on our training officers to make a final selection.
The mounting plate that comes with the EPS carry actually does not fit the hellcat. I tried to use it on mine but the holes just slightly don’t line up.
Had high hopes after getting my new glasses that this reticle and optic combo could work. It’s just a big blurry mess for me more distracting than anything. One day hopefully I too can be a cool kid with a pistol red dot.
Did you have them fix your astigmatism and have anti-glare on your glasses? The other trick is to lower the brightness down on the dot. I am extremely near sighted my glasses are super thick which why I wear contacts lol but with that I have no issues I also found different contact react differently I tried 3 different paid until I found the one that fixed that as it happens with stream lamps too. I would also make sure you let your eye doctor know this to see they can help you with options I mean my guess is night lights like street lamps creates star burst for you. So tell that to the eye doctor hope that helps if not then just rock fiber optic front sights I still love fiber optic sights
I just got one but when I put it on about setting 6 and up it's green spots all around the dot like crazy. And I have 2 other holosuns and they don't do that. So I don't know if it's messed up or what
Nope, long get the right screws the one holosun gives you are the wrong screws if you use the plate it will work or you get the right screws no plate needed Here is the install video I did ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-81FCCDHDcCU.html
You’ll need a plate “This CHPWS adapter plate will let you mount a Holosun "K" series footprint optic like the 407K, 507K, EPS, or EPS Carry to your Sig P320 “
Nope. Went SCS 320 on the new Springfield Echelon. The EPS and EPS Carry have a short footprint leaving a 1/4” gap in front of the rear sight. The SCS 320 perfectly fills the gap from the plate. So far loving the features. But who knows how long the solar recharging battery will last over time.
Yeah that makes sense since that’s a bigger footprint for it too. Per Holosun the SCS battery can technically run indefinitely but they will replace it if an issue occurs.. battery related they have stated that to TFGTV when they showed those off at shotshow. I own 2 SCS will be buying my third basically I’m switching my Glocks to SCS MOS ones the Glocks that I actually do carry anyways. I’ve had one on my G21 since they were announced to test out. 0 issues so far. I also planning on buying the SCRS to run on one my ARs or something not sure which one I’ll try it out on. My personal recommendation are though if it’s a safe queen gun might not be the most ideal choice since it does need some type of ambient light source to charge with stated battery life of between 20K to 50K hours, plus it uses the light to run and charge when using it to me makes it a pretty good choice for the “prepper” as you don’t need to worry needing extra battery and like with regard to my SCS mos since it co-witness perfectly with stock sights I do have those if it would fail. Only draw back is the stated if the internal battery did fully drain it would take around 40hours charging to recharge but that’s per Holosun if you didn’t let it get light from time to time since I shoot usually weekly and rotate what I take to the range I don’t see any issues of that happening. I own a wide variety of RDS and the SCS is probably my favorite as you prob can tell since I’m buying more for my carry guns.
I think by now I would assume most understand that small businesses can’t compete with Amazon or Walmart both small businesses killers(. Especially if your comparing prime day sales at the same time as the summer sale slumps) But It’s up to you the consumer to choose does Amazons values compare to your own? Does amazon care if your product works or doesn’t? It’s your money and you have EVERY right to shop around and get the best deal. Just remember to a large Corporation/business your just a decimal dot, to a small business you are everything. To those that support small businesses we salute you 🇺🇸 fb.watch/lMyVg9nzni/?mibextid=v7YzmG
Is the 6 Moa worth it I mean I’m stuck anyways I waited almost 2 month for the EPS carry for my Ruger Max 9, just for protection not shooting nothing far
How are these for someone with an astigmatism? I heard green dots are better for people with an astigmatism but I don’t wanna waste almost $500 for an optic I can barely use lol
I have sever astigmatism and I have no issues my glasses do correct it a little bit my contacts do not I get the most from a red dot with star burst which I then just turn the optic down and I learned to use it. The green is way less and with this auto brightness the only time I seen a bigger start burst was at night with a Weapon mounted light on. But even then I could still able to shoot it with no issues
@@paolo7237 yeah my eyes love it Gold is weirdly the best but they don’t have a gold dot for handguns yet but the holosun 503 we have in stock that’s a gold dot for rifles I have 0 starburst like it’s perfect and wish one day they will make it for handguns
@@ADUSEI6111 I had combative civilan who’s has his own channel and an employee here make a RU-vid short on the difference of the optics so here it is and make sure to subscribe to his channel ru-vid.com2FEn9I4jrGw?feature=share
Unfortunately no, they on order but per sales rep a lot on backorder. Then you add in a a lot of the big chains gobbled them leaving us small shops with scraps.
Per Holosun they factory zero them but you need to zero it to your gun they usually pretty close but still going to need to fine tune it but always zero to your gun and your carry ammo or competition ammo
