I'd love it to be Jurassic park: Trespasser. A cast of one, with "Cast away" vibes in the Jurassic park/lost world setting. Could be a budget friendly self contained story which explores more or Isla Sorna, just like in the game. The story is already there, I think it could work.

I’d like nothing more than Site B stuff before Clarissa, they could tie in Lockwood (whatever her name was, the mother) who was there at the time. I’ve heard people talk about Trespasser and Crichton inspired, which would be great. As much as a Hammond prequel would be interesting, there wouldn’t really be any dinosaur attacks, because the first one was Jophery in 1993. One thing that would be interesting to see is the release of the animals into Site B at the end. You know how Maisie released the dinosaurs at the end of Fallen Kingdom? How about her mother was the one who released them into Site B, setting up The Lost World? Also, with JP: Survival, it’s even less likely that the movie would be around 1993 too.

If the Alien: Romulus trailer is anything to go by, it's a testimony to the fact that it's possible to create a great stand-alone prequel. A story set in between the first and second JP movies would be cool (mostly because I'm having a hard time seeing where they could take the plot after Dominion + I'd like the tone and feel of the first two movies back).

I'd say a prequel would be pretty hard. One of the core ideas of any of these movies is something going wrong with the dinosaurs, putting people at risk. If that happens prior to the events of the original 90s movie, then we'll be left with the obvious question of why Hammond's park idea wasn't just shut down immediately afterwards 🤔

Before JP was opened to Grant and co, there were dinosaurs that already escaped and were seen by farmers eating lysine rich plants, and the nurse who stumbled upon the compys eating the baby. Hammond was negligent and didn’t care enough to fix any of this stuff. The park was doomed from the beginning.

Maybe its going to be a little bit like in: "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" where some events dont make sense but then Harry and Hermione travel back in time and stuff starts making sense. Just in the case of this movie it would be in the perspective of a different character. I hope you get my point here😅

So, the Jurassic Park incident took place in 1993, while the events of The Lost World took place in 1997. These are presumably the four years Hammond is referring to. Curiously, Hurricane Clarissa (which forced InGen to abandon site B) apparently took place in 1995, meaning that the company continued operating on site B for a couple years after Jurassic Park fell. It would be interesting to explore what went down back then.

I still think the Hurricane Clarissa event that John Hammond mentions at the beginning of The Lost World would be a fantastic way to go back to Jurassic Park and that period in time. You can google a better description of what Hurricane Clarissa was as well as watch the scene with Ian Malcolm and John Hammond.

And just like Disney Wars, we have a potential sequel where they hire a typical studio yes man to direct the film while the original chosen director leaves due to “creative differences”. This is not the kind of production news that gives me any confidence or trust in this film. And much like Gareth Edwards and the questionable objective quality of his films, David Koepp’s recent track record as a writer hasn’t exactly been good. Especially with films such as The Mummy (2017), You Should Of Left (2020), and Inferno (2016). I think people tend to forget that when he wrote JP & TLW, he was still working with Steven Spielberg at the height of his career and when the franchise was still young while Michael Crichton was still alive.

It needs to be a sequel. It needs to round up these Dinos, because they can't possibly "coexist" with us. They can't just cross the border into our world and expect us to be happy with them around. Lives would be lost, crops destroyed, property destroyed, cats and raptors living together! Mass Hysteria! They'd have to be rounded up and shipped back where they came from... Starring Black Widow...lmao

I sincerely pray to God, this to be a PREQUEL, and that's between JP & TLW or between TLW & JP3. Just look at Alien: Romulus and see what they have done. They went back to the basics & the roots of the original movie. That trailer looks fcking amazing & it really gives the feel of the original horror. Its good to know that they are following the steps of PREY. Now its time for Jurassic Park to go back to the basics & that too to the story of the original trilogy.

The problem with prequels is that most franchises cannot get them right. It’s a very tricky thing to do and you have to major it consistent with other films which many franchise don’t do well. Outside of Star Wars & Disney Wars, here are a few examples of terrible prequels that have been done extremely poorly and why’s maybe this isn’t such a good idea once you actually stop to think about it: Cruella Wonka (2023) The Thing (2011) The First Omen (2024) Exorcist: The Beginning The Rings Of Power Leatherface (2017) Hannibal Rising The Hobbit Trilogy Prometheus / Alien: Covenant Prey (2022) The Flintstones In Viva Rock Vegas Dumb & Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun Li Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights Dracula Untold Oz The Great & Powerful 300: Rise Of An Empire X-Men Origins: Wolverine The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning Gods & Generals (2003) Prequels consistently don’t work. It’s a cheap gimmick with a very poor track record. And I have my examples to back it up. And only very rarely do they ever work as good movies in cases like The Godfather Part II, The Good The Bad And The Ugly, and The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance.

My preference is a standalone story. The ingredients are there to effectively remake The Valley Of Gwangi for example. Send a team to capture an Allosaurus, put it on display in a circus, it escapes and attacks an elephant and then the city. Done right, this could make for an intense action adventure movie. Whatever they do, all I want is for dinosaurs to be cool and scary again. Don't want another "Avenger" type Blue character.

Yeah we need a proper Jurassic Park sequel that focuses on the dinos instead of a side plot, and John Williams theme must be used throughout the entire film, I personally never enjoyed Jurassic Worlds ost, it didnt fit the films universe imo.

@@Jenema2 the next upcoming series called Chaos Theory runs parallel to the events of Dominion. The whole future franchise is oriented with dinosaurs on land, any previous events will just be flashbacks and extra material.

Sequel please and thank you. Prequel stuff can be done by expanded media, keep the movies going forward; we didn't dedicate an entire trilogy to getting the dinosaurs off the islands only to instantly chicken out of it and sprint back into our safety bubble

No sequels. We need a prequel tbh & not before JP. Yes, you are right. Prequel before JP can be done by expanded media, but there are TONS of materials & potential between JP & TLW or between TLW & JP3. Just look at Alien: Romulus and see what they have done. Its good to know that they are following the steps of PREY. Now its time for Jurassic Park to go back to the basics & that too to the story of the original trilogy.

I’d love a prequel taking place just a few months before the events of JP. Set on Isla Sorna’s InGen worker village with inspiration from Prey and the Ritual. If it’s going to be post JW trilogy, I think Scar Jo as an agent type character going after Santos set in the dino black market setting would be sick

I hope it’ll be about the 1994 cleanup no original cast no new cast needed they have a lot of potential and it could make it like Kong skull island set around a group of mercenary’s and scientists who are tasked with capturing all he dinosaurs get separated on the island they could also stumble upon the remains of nedry, Muldoon or arnold and a voice recording of Malcom or something like that for the fans

Except Rogue One was not a good movie and is very inconsistent with ANH. It had its moments of cringe and it’s only likable and well written character was K2SO. Plus, it’s not even an original story. It’s entirely ripped from Dark Forces but with a lesser dollar store version of Kyle Katarn. I’m sorry, but his films are not good and I don’t have trust in this kind of director nor do I want an interquel story if they have a rushed production schedule. And yes, I said interquel, because the word “prequel” is inaccurate.

It might be a remake? Who agrees? Also, a Hammond prequel might be disappointing if it was that, but a Crichton’s Jurassic Park would be great, but it’d be very gory and probably rated R-18. Or if you’re American, it may be rated X. I hope it’s a remake, and if it’s not Apple TV will probably do it in a couple of years.

Nobody wants a sequel to Dominion, Dominion was dog shit, absolute trash film. Confused with so many subplots. They changed Henry Wu to a good guy with no build up. Dominion was one of the worst films I ever saw
