Once they get all the bugs out of Vega, I expect Amazon devices to be restricted, like Roku and Apple, to their own environment.

People.forget there only really only updated a Amazon devices for 4 yrs after its relase of the devices most for get about when this new devices updates liking so if u have u older devices u be safe it only effect new devices 1st period

When amazon experience the massively low uptake of devices running Vega they will continue to update the stick as otherwise they'll lose millions of potential customers & they don't want that

I love my android i have two boxes 1 is 15 years old a little slow but works perfectly. 2nd one i just bought last month Kinhank G1 and im super impressed. I did buy the firestick 1st gen it wouldn't let me download my current VPN provider so i never used it. Andriod just does not go out of date always supported

Got android devices aswell as firesticks. Current gen sticks wont get vega anyway just amazon are shooting themselves in the foot of further sales of the stick if it is going to be as restricted as they say

I cant imagine Amazon wanting to move to Vega just to make it a better user friendly experience... Amazon had better be VERY careful if they don't want to run everyone from their platform as there are already better and less cumbersome alternatives out there.
