Who needs Netflix or similar when you have content such as this ? The standard is consistently excellent,

Still plenty of good shows on Netflix that make it worth the $. And comparing Netflix to RU-vid is apples&oranges, they're similar in some regards but totally totally different in others. Most people just like them both.

Always loved everything I ever saw with Assante. What I appreciate about Armand 's interview is that he didn't try to come off like he had any "gangster" in himself or that he was ever any kind of street guy or part of that world. Just gave his thoughts on what he was trying to do or accomplish when playing those parts

Back in 1985/86 I ran into Armand at Leonardo da Vinci Airport in Rome. I immediately recognized him, waved and smiled as I walked past. He smiled back. We didn't say a word to one another. I had been studying acting at Strasberg's Theater Institute for some time when I decided to return to university and finish my undergraduate program. I was already accepted into my doctoral program and my life was going into a completely different direction. Assante, however, always impressed me as an actor and I knew his entire story. So now, I see two guys in an interview; one is a man I once aspired to be like and one who I believe I would have been proud to call a colleague. Michael, I believe you would have made a fine doctor. However, in life we will never know where our next step will bring us, but it will always be to our future. Che il buon Dio vi benedica.

These sit downs with Armand Assante are just excellent. He's such an astutely aware, "old-school" guy and his perspective on everything going on right now in American society is really honest and regretfully accurate. Watching you two have this conversation was really a pleasure, Michael. He’s spot on about The Godfather being a metaphor about the hypocrisy in a mans life. We see this is personal lives, the churches (no matter the denomination), the governments, and the world. We’re all hero’s in our own eyes and failures in another’s. Egotism is the anecdote to humility and we all experience it one time or another.

IMDB shows Armand currently has 15 projects in the works. This man is 72 years old and busier than most actors are at 30. I think he would be a great older Sonny Franzese. Michael, that was truly one of your best sit downs ever. It was so great, impactful and honest. I have an immense respect for the contributions both you and Armande Asante have made in your lives to better our understanding of what it takes to be a good man. May God continue to bless and protect you both. I have always followed mafia stories and people with great interest, not to glamorize the life because I know how it destroys people and families, but I also understand there is much to be learned from such a life. I immigrated to Canada from Naples in 1972 and I recently discovered that it’s where your father was born. I’m looking forward to watching the series based on your life and I hope you’re able to get some or all the actors you’ve mentioned it to on board. Excellent couple of shows with Mr Assante, a very brilliant actor and an even better human being. I am getting over an illness, and this brought a bright spot to my dreary day.

Michael, amazing interview. Mr. Assante is one of my favorite actors and GOTTI is hands down one of my favorite mob movies of all time. Everything I ever thought in regards to the movie was discussed between you two. I have been watching your channel for a few months. Your insight on “that” life plus your experience in general are priceless. The care and authenticity you speak with is appreciated. I respect where you came from, where you’re at and where you’re going with it. Watching with my dad has become our afternoon past time. As a NY “street” kid myself who “grew up” along time ago- I affirm all your lessons as they are the same ones I pass on to younger ears who want to listen. Salud, papa! Keep up the great work. I’ll shake your hand one day. Blessings

I continue to be impressed by not only how great the sit downs are, but how Mr Franzese adapts to each and every one of them. You see the respect that he has for them while at the same time being a fan. Truly amazing, and we should be grateful for this channel. Bravo.
