I honestly don’t see why anyone should even be concerned over this. It’s a win win for believers. If your not safe in a house with sealed curtains and no candles, you die and go to heaven. If your safe inside you make it through to live in Gods Kingdom on earth. All the evil is destroyed so basically everything’s good. It’s like the Catholic version of the rapture. Same end result. But personally, I don’t believe either.

Oh Jimmy, How I wish I had you around during the "Satanic Panic" of the 80s. I would have been spared so much anxiety, nightmares, and inner turmoil if I had learned how to think critically at a young age instead of swallowing hook, line, and sinker every one of these types of "prophesies" my sweet but ill-informed grandmother thought were vital for my salvation. Keep teaching us how to use our brains instead of our succumbing to our fears.

Back in the early 2000s my grandmother, mother and quite a number in their circle were big into the Three Days of Darkness, and "The Chastisement" as it was called. They got cheaply produced, photocopied pamplets in the mail, for a fee of course. They had blessed candle stashes, bottles of holy water, and what not. I was kinda "fire and brimstone" leaning at the time, and thought it was kinda cool, and interesting, but as the internet became more reliable and I dug into it, I realised it was essentially nonsense. A sort of "Catholic Rapture" in the mainstream Protestant sense of the word. And this was in wee ole NZL. Over the years I've seen it pop up in various Catholic circles, and of course, recently it's doing the rounds again.

Could you also do an episode on Garabandal and the Prophecy of a Pope Visiting Moscow? The pope is visiting Mongolia and some people believe he will stop in Moscow on the way. It was said by Conchita in a long conversation with Weber in her house on November 14, 1965. It says, “The pope will go to Moscow. As soon as he returns to the Vatican, hostilities will break out in different parts of Europe.”

Jesus said the only sign given is the sign of Jonah who spent 3 days in the belly of the great beast .Hope Jonah had a flashlight.... I underwent my personal 3 days of darkness 3 years ago i saw visions of the damned souls for 3 days about the time of the initial covid infection. I saw a continousl line of hopeless souls that were silent as they waited in a very slow moving line down into the deepest part of the Earth. They were all dressed in hospital gowns and their sadness was absolutely apparent .. This was before I was saved and I knew absolutely nothing about the Saints at that time. It was the beginning of my dark night of the soul. It brought me to a deep state of realization of the realness of God and a severe repentance that I still am in till this day...This happened in the initial pre-lock down period of Covid and I remember thinking why are they all in gowns ? Their demeanor was absolute sadness and hopelessness as they all knew their fate. And they could see me watching them it was 3 days of hell for myself as well. But it did bring me to repentance and I was the most ungodly of men in that time.

"How do you light the candle?" Refutes the entire thing for me. Why does God need to allow demon miasma? There's plenty of suffering and consequence of sin in the world already to punish everyone.

I am really confused about this one. No one would survive!!! Everyone would look out the window. When there is anything, even a tornado, shooting,, a weird noise people are curious and would look outside. Million and millions of people would be outside. I’m likely to be mistaken, since it’s not given to me to know, but I would think the end times are way off, looking at how much of this universe is yet to be explored, how much more story there is in God’s great work before the climactic ending.

As I listened to this, I discovered that Michale Lofton's audio track has moments which become excessively loud, to the point of tweaking out my speakers, and certainly bothering the upstairs' neighbor, I would bet. he seems to lean into his mic and BLAM. I do have a blessed beeswax candle collecting dust on my bookshelf of religious books and images, "just in case." I haven't seen the Laura Horn satire, but coincidentally just yesterday I wondered how I could light that candle in the event that the Three Days of Darkness actually occurs.

Along with reasons already stated, another situation that could have contributed to the production of the erroneous quote is the language barrier. A not so exact translation could have got the quote ball rolling.

What I have understood is there will be enough warning in the few days before it happens, so we will know to light our candles before it is too late.

Michael Lofton's attitude, and behavior (at times) during this interview, seems to be dismissive and disrespectful of the matter being discussed. I find this to be off-putting.

Fr Mark Beard once preached that "If it happened in the old testament, it happens in the new testament, but better" (paraphrased) I.E. : Adam -Jesus Eve - Mary Joseph - Joseph Old covenant Bringing of a lamb to the Temple - Jesus brought a Lamb to the Temple while Jesus being the Lamb. That which happened in the Old Covenant being fulfilled in the new but better. Point being there is a biblical old testament precedent for the Three Days of Darkness. As I read it Marie Julie Jehenny was supposedly an approved mystic, and stigmatic. Her writings or at least what I've seen of them seem to be worth considering. Back in the 70's or 80's, a guy called "The Little Pebble" who turned out to be a fraud. But if these don't cause one to see that one day God will bring darkness and fire upon the earth and His enemies, then another 50 verses won't either. Why is it so hard to believe that the Lord will one day bring darkness and fire upon the earth? As Isaiah tells us, (Paraphrasing) "The slain of the Lord will be from one end of the earth to the other". You say why now? I say why not now? What more can mankind do to offend God? I'm sure we will find many more ways. At least until the time when God Says "Enough is enough". Every Word of God (not mine) will be fulfilled. Not one Jot nor one tittle will be left undone. Brother Jimmy you are right, maybe this three days means three years or decades or three centuries of spiritual darkness, which we are now experiencing. When people has lost some sense of God, spirituality, religiosity morality, etc.. it can be three in God’s time, where one day is a thousand or anything.

Thank God for Mr. Akins! Im a new Catholic convert, and a priest I trust was warning the congregation about this 3 days of darkness. I had never heard of it , and was a tad worried.And he does have beeswax candles for sale😬So should I discount all his teaching, I wonder?

If Catholics spent as much time studying the most reliable of revelation, i.e. Holy Scripture, as they are dwelling on obscure private revelations , the Church would be so much holier

My assumption is that the blessed candles would already be lit as there would be at least some people in prayer during those terrible times. Faith filled souls pleading for mercy from God and the grace of conversion for their neighbor when the darkness falls. Otherwise, some very good points are made about the genesis of this private revelation.

Fr Rodríguez affected my 86 yr old mother negatively. She even stopped going to mass because tv mass was fine. We had to pray a lot to stop her from creating scandal stemming from Fr Rs postings. Scaring people into heresy is a mortal sin and I pray Fr R gets treatment for whatever it is ailing him. The problem is that his follower will continue to believe out of fear.

The most natural way the Earth can be in total darkness for three days is some sort of space phenomenon like a thick drifting dust cloud that gets between us and the sun. I am sure we would notice this well in advance. Some sort of super-volcanic activity would be another thought. But I would say that type of natural disaster would have years of implications.

Yes, the newness factor @53:15, but also people want righteous judgement administered. They want to see the good rewarded and the bad punished - a normal healthy desire generally. End times scenarios seem to satisfy, in varying degrees in some, a core hope to see ‘the world’ get its come-uppins or get straightened out. I was told by the vice postulator of Blessed Anna Maria Taigi's cause in the US that she was being considered for canonization in the 70's but her cause was put on the back burner due to the idea that too many Italians were being canonized at that time.

I cant recall th details specifically about the blessed candles. But by the grace of God the candles will light up and will not burn out no matter the size, as long as they're 100% made of beeswax and blessed. But these blessed candles will not light up in the houses of the wicked. Just on a quick note, also of you have "the purple scapular" ot will give out light inside the home as if it were day light, during the three days of darkness.

Possible answer to how blessed candles are lit - always have one burning before darkness begins.

One should always be prepared to meet God, whether through being called home or His second coming. I pray all will come to Christ before either the two events happen.

The prophecy of the Monarch? I never knew it had a connection to the 'three days.' Clouds of darkness, okay, I have one of those on my phone that I also saw in a Netflixovie that is one of the most repulsive movies about a so+called 'monastic' community. It's a Polish movie known as 'Hellhole.' A simple, awful name, I know. This movie was made in 2022. Something incredibly ironic and kind of scary happened in that year ss well. A rather large sinkhole opened up in a parking lot in Jerusalem. I'm not really trying to connect any dots with this, but it is on my list of very anomylous or strange occurences. May God bless we 'spiritual watchmen.' Once again Jimmy, I was saddened, but relieved that Saint Michael andwered the prayer on behalf of the actor Julian Sands' family. Have you seen the collection of prophesies with sources, compiled by a lady named Silvie at new earth? She has a very large play list of all her own work and dedicated to the prophesies, at her youtube channel. This is a huge body of work and very well researched.

There are too many internet trolls going around making up things. Someone started a rumor that Sr Sasagawa ( Our Lady of Akita)got another message message in 2019 right before COVID and a priest with a podcast started spreading it . I went to Akita last year and found out she has not been in Akita for many years and she has been hidden away not allowed to speak. This priests to this day is spreading this without checking the sources.

Novelty is to treated with suspicion-like blessings permitted now but ruled out 2 years ago by the CDF.

Nobodies got time in their life or charity to spare to waste it on catholic drama tube, but Jimmy Akins face assured me I hadn't misclicked just wound up in a wierd crossover; still not sure I'm gonna watch though, just as I would probably skip a Jimmy interview with Taylor Marshall (and for similar reasons. One tears down the church with blows to the visible head, and the other with blows to it's body; they also both started out with a lot of promise and then went suddenly and powerfully downhill; Corruptio optimi pessima). Allegedly St Padre Pio and St Teresa of Calcutta have said 'Yes' but Pope St Paul VI and every Bishop of Santander since the alleged apparitions have said 'No'. However neither Pope Paul, nor any of the Bishops made a definitive statement, so, unlike Bayside, it has not been condemned.

I had a vision, to anoit the doors of my house. I've anoited the OUTSIDE of my doors of my home. I will pull my blinds, get my candles out and my emergency radio with the hand crank, so I can keep my cell phone charged. I have candles and plenty of batteries.
