Hey, look, it's a bonus episode. We got to the Mopars Unlimited Sunbust show quite late (because we're late to everything.) But I got to meet a bunch of subscribers, see a bunch of cool cars, and tag along with Austin as he drove the Red '71 Challenger for the first time with 392 Hemi power. Also, I got to take the Charger for a quality highway cruise, which only involved some mild parking lot pollution. What's a couple gallons of coolant among friends?

Yay the Graham Mopar Show. I was there in spirit in my '79 Cordoba. Probably not worth the 2200 mile drive. Should have done it last year, lol!!!

I wish I’d been able to slow down and get some more footage. Just way too much to see. That thing was sweet! The cool part to me was that Gary also had his 500 there, and it was also green like that one was originally.

You bet! Good to see you. I *almost* used a good shot I got of your car for the thumbnail of the video, but decided the field shot kinda made more sense for a car show. It’s actually at the far left of the shot I used, but pretty hard to see.

Yeah, slightly worse than typical Sunday traffic. The stuff of my nightmares. That’s my brothers ‘67. I actually showed it a bit toward the beginning of yesterday’s Barracuda video.

So cool, I love the 273, 318 and 383 cars, good to see them out there, and I seen an inland 4 speed car! What was that! I want to see a 1968 charger base model 383 with an inland shifter……

I wonder if that inland shifter is as rare as a 68 charger as it is in 68 darts, think they went to a different shifter shortly to mid 68 in the charger, making the inland a little rarer for 68………….

@@carebear2272 I remember the Inland shifter, and it was NOT a good shifter. Actually, it was the underlying linkage that sucked, and God help anyone who tried to power shift one of those. Skinned knuckles hitting 3rd gear by hitting the dash every time.

Yes, I’m ok with that, not much into power shifting anymore, just have to learn to be smarter then the shifter and learn what it can and cannot do…….think the hursts was a little shorter and tighter shifting, I like it, there Time Machine for me anymore….

I am glad that the 68-70 Charger has outlived the Dukes era. Back then, that's ALL the Charger was known for. It seemed like EVERYONE was hell bent on converting every Charger into the General Lee. Not that I am against a General Lee replica, but gawd dammit there is a limit! In terms of Chargers in the movies and TV, I like to think of Chargers as the car the bad guys always drove - Bullit, Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry, etc.

Great Mopar show! The "Hang 10" Dart Sport brought back a bad memory from 1989 when I almost bought a really nice clean one with a stock 318 for $1500. I told the guy I would take it but I had to go to the bank to get the money the next day, and made the fatal mistake of not giving him something down on it. Long story short, someone else grabbed it before I got the money together. Anyway, I always loved the funky interior with all the red, white, and blue upholstery and the flip down back seat for the surfboard (lol, not much surfing where I live, but it's the thought that counts).

Ugh. That’s a bummer. I’ve never had one, but I did have a set of the seats in a Duster, which I thought were quite funky.

Yes… I have been pondering that for some time. I’d like to at least have a set as an option. I don’t like the style of these wheels really. The stance is absolutely ridiculous right now, but it has to be to clear the stupid tire width and incorrect back spacing setup. It’s a full wheel cover car, so I would have to find a set of steelies and those. I have also considered the “road wheel” option instead. It isn’t option correct for my car, but period correct - and better looking. Ultimately, I think I really want a nice set of traditional Cragars for it like my Demon has.

I couldn’t get one quickly enough so decided to run with what I had in stock to finish the video. Then I couldn’t just not drive the car so I’ve been dealing with it since. It will get a new radiator soon. Has to be factory appearing, so none of those big square aluminum units.

There is definitely something very cool about black & gold… anything really. (Go Hawks!) Legitimate question- IS the Scat Pack bee actually named (the) Rumble Bee? I’ve read conflicting stuff while trying to prove that’s what it’s called. Figured you might know.

I'm going to give it my best shot, but don't quote me on this. The Scat Pack bee is just "The Scat Pack" emblem. I believe the "Rumble Bee" was the title of one of Dodge's Super Bee ads from 1968.
