I do love the Jamboree aspects of it. It makes me want to play with other people instead of myself most of the time.

Now *this* is exactly what a Switch level Mario Party game should be! Can't wait to finish the Mario Party Marathon & then get into Jamboree once it launches! Fingers crossed the motion controls aren't just an awkward disaster... really wish at this point Nintendo would just give us a proper re-tooled Wii-mote for motion control games. The joycons are just way too flimsy & prone to c-stick drifting

Never thought I'd see the day where I'd actually want to play Super Mario Party Jamboree after they said "biggest Mario Party ever in history". I wasn't as impressed with the regular Super Mario Party as much as I'm impressed with this one. It makes me want to learn more about this game and actually have people play with me when it comes to Mario Party.

Looks like it, AbdallahSmash. I don't know what your opinion is on Super Mario Party; at first, everyone loved it, but after a couple of years that hype died down and now hardcore fans either think it's "mid" or outright hate it. I still think it's very fun, even with its noted flaws. Super Mario Party Jamboree appears to be remedying folks' issue from Super Mario Party; the boards are much bigger and better-looking, there are no character-specific dice, and you no longer are forced to use Joy-Cons as the sole controller. I am happy that Toad and Toadette came back as playable characters again... This was easily the highlight of the Direct for me.

For anyone curious this game supports the Nintendo switch pro controller! According to Nintendo’s website for motion control minigames they require the Joycons, for button control minigames it supports the pro controller! There will probably be a setting to enable and disable motion control minigames similar to mic mode in Mario party 4,5,6, and 7!

There is a possibility they could bring almost every character back from past Mario parties. Because the only ones of the top of my head that weren't shown in the trailer are hammer bro, dry bones, pom pom, and Diddy Kong. And they are also adding Ninji as a brand new character. I may have missed a few characters but seeing how there is 12 "good guys" and only 9 bad guys shown could mean we may get more bad guys like dry bones and hammer bro.
