Here's the real truth: Valve themselves actually asked Nintendo if they could use dolphin emulators on their software and Nintendo of course said no and Kotuka started to spread misinformation just start to make the internet freak out 24/7.

This has been a problem ever since a computer from the 80s 90s can make a copy of the same document, file, game rom etc. And ask the question is it stealing? Long story short It's Not!! Your downloading a copy of a copy of a copy 1000x of a copy of an Original Rom from a game disk! It's Not Stealing! So There!!! To those that say it is ! You need to shut up! And accept the New Age of Entertainment!!!

I appreciate all the research you went through to explain this controversy, it makes a lot of sense from both sides. And when there's so many ways older games can be lost to time, from chip damage, disc rot, limited supply, or defunct online servers with the games entirely or specific features, game preservation is something to always consider. My childhood copy of Mario Party 6 experienced disc rot in the center, rendering it unplayable on the GameCube. Playing some of the minigames on Mario Party Superstars doesn't carry the full experience, and having it available on Nintendo Switch Online (hypothetically, maybe one day) would be diminished without the mic support that helped it stand out with 7. So in 2017 and 2023, I had to buy another copy (I traded the 2017 copy about a year later but still aimed for its return). But how long will that disc last before I need another one?

I honestly can't believe Nintendo would ban Dolphin like that. Thanks to the emulator, I actually experience nostalgia by trying out Super Mario Galaxy, a little bit of Mario Party and the Spongebob Movie game (which Dolphin also lets you play Gamecube games as well). And, Guitar Hero too. After seeing the court skit, I'm not sure who or what to agree on anymore. Overall, this is the first time I'm hearing this news.

I believe Emulation should be legal, but it's also the only way you can play Tingle's Rupee Land on modern hardware, so I think we should keep it illegal.

Honestly, kind of a genius move on Nintendo’s part. Just going along with the nonsense you were spouting about emulation so you couldn’t even defend yourself in regards to your unpaid parking tickets was really smart. I don’t know why Dolphin didn’t do anything to help you in this situation. Then again, maybe they were, I don’t speak dolphin.

it's a matter of time before everybody who emulates will be in a jailcell. pirates deserve the smallest jail cells, and should be placed next to murderers and rapists. Especially if they pirate nintendo games. (i never emulated or downloaded a rom in my life, totally not joking guys, because it's so dangerous to do this)
