haha you nutter Dave :) don't think I'll be filing down any forks soon but glad to see your doing this worthwhile investigation! that Marin frame looks more XC than gravel so bigger, softer, fatter tyres will be idea- yep more of a struggle uphill but worth it for everything else - ride safe bud, good to see the cat make an appearance too :)

Sounds like something I'd do! Careful to carry a tube though, cause a plug probably would sheer off. Might be able to steal a bit more clearance.

OMG the Engineer in me is triggering... lol... I found out my touring bike will take up to 50mm tires... WIN! Not bad for a 2005 frame. Gravel bike before gravel bikes were a thing!

Why should filing down your fork bridge void the warranty on the frame? It's still a daft idea though. Best lose the suspension fork and just go fully rigid with such fat tyres.

I would have bought a xc fork, surely someone would have have given you an xc fork for product testing, I still enjoyed watching your videos👍

Just change the front fork to one that has greater clearance. 🤔🤔 OR Just file down the metal to increase a persons risk of serious permanent injury 🤔🤔 👍👍😏😏
