The LX is basically the B2650 rebadged with minor differences. The salesman didn’t seem too informative about the tractors and the difference’s between them. He should get more informed about their products, it would be beneficial for everyone. Y’all will enjoy your tractor though! It will do quite a bit of work for its size. By the way, be sure to get those rear tires filled! I totally suggest RimGuard. Makes a huge difference in stability and traction.
I bought the BX and 2 things I wish id done was Get the tiller in the original financing (Sales Rep told me they rented them....) and I wish Id gotten the B series. The L series was slightly out of my price range and the salesman didn't even tell me about the B. Either way I love my little BX
@@bry8890 The BX series is also known as the “Swiss Army Knife” of compact tractors. They are capable of more than their size would suggest according to what I’ve seen. Don’t know how long you’ve had yours but there is a lot of BX videos on youtube showing them at work. Impressive little tractors!
My girlfriend and I (both from Maryland) just spent 2 weeks traveling the Deep South including 4 days in a few areas of Mississippi. We totally enjoyed our time in the state,..and at some point, we were probably close to your family. The more I see/read/watch what is going on in California and the West Coast I believe you made the right decision in moving because of your values. I hope you don't get too sentimental about ''Cali''because what I see on the news about that state is scary. And I am sure Mississippi doesn't encourage people to walk into Walgreens and steal $949 of merchandise and walk out without any concern.
Look at WA, their going to let 300 pedo sex offenders out of prison. CA is all messed up. Look at how their trying to spin the Pelosi scandal. Paul Pelosi is gay and got with his pants down. SF used to be OK about 20 years ago. Now I would not go their alone.
Congrats on the new tractor. They're good and will last for years. My dad had one. Can't remember the size but it was about the same size as yours and he used it for everything. He bought it many years ago and my brother is still using it now. Dad passed away but the Kubota is still going.
You will love this tractor, I've got an L4060 Kubota that I use for moving dirt and box blade work. Also have a six foot Landpride bush hog for heavy duty mowing. In the near future I'm planning on gettin the same tractor you got here but the reg LX2610 that I can put a five foot belly mower on so that I can have it for a finish mower. You'll love the Kubota Tractor I promise you. Make sure you do the required maintenance on it and always keep a grease gun handy and keep it greased up!! Take good care of your tractor and it will take care of you!!
Love the orange on the property. Just got off my L3901 after 7 hours of mowing food plots today. LOVE OUR KUBOTAS!! Hydrostatic is soooooo easy, Syd. Get to work!
Hey Mike! Congratulations on the new 🚜. Don't worry Syd it will help make all of your wants needs and desires come around a lot faster. Thanks for sharing! God Bless and have a wonderful day!
It's great having different tracers with different implements so you don't have to switch stuff out so much. Just have to measure profits with expenses with maintenance and up keep. But you have a nice set up there.
The 4 wheel drive makes the tractor do so much more. It will pull a 5 ft disk with no problem. You will love the tiller. Only suggestion I’d give is get a quick hitch for the 3 point it’s a game changer lol
I hope it works for you. I had an L3430 at one time with the LA 723 loader, but always wished I had gone bigger. Mainly, the front end loader limitations was an issue from time to time. My next tractor will be another Kubota, but 50hp or larger.
Unfortunately thats common everywhere. I bought one of the new Broncos, and the sales guy didn't even know how to operate the soft top. Luckily I knew already.
Seems like a good choice for right now, I side with Mike on keeping the two Fords, too, for now, mainly because I like the older Fords, I can see getting rid of them, depending on what happens down the road, I do feel this is a good addition to the farm fleet. Congratulations! Thanks for sharing this important step, Syd, Mike and Frankie
The sound of a diesel tractor is really smooth and kind of liquid to me. Driving my hydrostatic Kubota tractor is peaceful and when the weather is mild, it’s relaxing.
Have fun learning! You picked good implements Remember to keep that loader low to the ground just like finger off the trigger till you need it there Real easy to tip them when your not experienced
Welcome to rural North Mississippi, best place on earth 😊🇺🇸. Our family has a Kubota that same size. It will amaze you all that you can do with it. The best toy a grown man can have. Great video 👍
You'll get a lotta use outta that Kubota and the FEL plus the other attachments. Dad had a 1966 4000 split grille gas tractor, he pulled a 3 bottom plow and 10 ft disc with it so a 5 footer shouldn't be a problem for a 3000. The Ford 2000-3000-4000 3 cylinder tractors were manufactured from 1965 to 1975, I believe they went to a one piece grille in 1969, yours both have the split grille. The headlights in the grille are unusual in the US, that one might be a UK or European tractor. Good old tractors! You can do a lot with them and like you said they'll hold their value. Y'all have fun with the tractors and enjoy the extra animals that are gonna show up too haha!
I worked at a ford dealership the selectors pews trans is great, when it works. When it breaks it gets real expensive real fast, that is the one to sell. Good luck!
Mike is loving life right about now and I know he wants to keep both Fords, but one of them was knock knock, knocking on heavens doors pretty hard! LOL
Wow! You guys went from tractor (less)to tractor (poor)in a heartbeat..lol. Seriously, I have a 1962 Kubota still going strong and the Ford 3000 is a tough old bird also. You’ll be operating that loader like the zero turn in no time. I know you’ve made a big investment but down the road I recommend a landscape rake either homemade or store bought. Thunder storms and ice storms down tree limbs here and after years of removing them by hand I built a landscape rake, saved a lot of backbreaking work and time. The tiller was a smart option. Remember Whitetail deer don’t like electric fences but like anything you grow in your garden. Take it slow and stay safe with you new guy toys.
I have a old blue tractor as well. Mine is a farmtrac 435. Which looks the EXACT same as a ford 2600. And that B-bota will get the job done for discing foodplots, bush hogging fields and trails, and grading a driveway if y’all do that. I would recommend a tiller (if y’all consider one) tillers break WAY to easy to break if not used in soft ground with out rocks and small stumps. Tillers are also very slow moving. My dad can disc a the same food plot 3 times while somebody with the same width tiller and same size tractor can only do half of it. My dad has a Kubota (B-bota as we call it)MX5100 and we use it for every thing.
I bought a L39 kubota with a loader, but here is a head up, buy you a 3 point ballast box it goes on the back to counter weight the front, I filled mine up with cement, this makes it safer when you pick up things high and heavy.
Thanks for the quick reply! Love your channel! Let us know if y’all are ever near Meridian, MS. We are less than 10 miles south of Meridian. I really could use y’all’s advice. Free room and board!
LOVE the FORDS .... IRON . L2610 NO exhaust aftertreatment huge PLUS , good options ; remote hydraulics , 3rd function for loaders also , can add cruise control on hydrostat model . RELIABLE little animals
We have had a Kubota 25 hp tractor for many years now. It has drilled many a porthole, mowed pastures, moved dirt and nearly 1 ton hay bales with no problems! We depend on it!
That's a cool "little tractor". It being 4-wheel drive, if you fill the rear tires with water you'll be surprised what it can do. It will outdo those larger Ford 2-wheel drives at many things. That Ford 3000 with dual shifter 8-speed is the best one out of the two Fords, and if I were y'all I'd keep it to do all the bush-hogging with. Those are great old tractors and it will last MANY more years.
My neighbor has two tractors, one very old Ford, a big one, keeps his bush hog on it, and a newer smaller Mahindra or Kubota, not sure which. My advice would be to keep both the old Fords cause they are hard to beat. The new one can do a lot for ya, but those old Fords, well maintained, will do ya well. Not to mention their collector value later on in years. My neighbor has the bucket and a back hoe on his new one. Does a lot on his property with it....he used to keep cattle, he is in his late 70's now so has slowed down a lot, but he still gets out there tooling around with both of those tractors. He will clear an area, then run the bushhog on the old Ford where he cleared. He does that because the old Ford is tough as nails and rather large, he has had it for as long as I can remember and Ive known him since I was a young kid. And that old Ford is still reliable. Just my thoughts.
Love the older Ford tractors! Kubota makes good equipment, personally I went with a Massey Ferguson 1740M because I didn't like the Kubota tredle peddle, felt uncomfortable but to each his own. You will enjoy the investment in the equipment to maintain your property. Be safe!
Mike, ya look like a natural. I would get some Pallets or build a concrete pad, for the extras. Keep them up off the wet ground, and plastic to cover any connections. Nice Buy Crew !!
I’m sure you know what you’re doing but I would Invest in roll bars for the two older models which don’t have the safety features of the new one. When you have the attachment-s connected (bush hog/disc etc.) they’re relatively safe. Never, ever try to pull someone out when they are stuck in mud. They may be old but they have the power to flip straight over backwards when you release the clutch. Don’t worry about the new one because you will be a pro in a couple of days. Be safe and happy plowing!
If you hook up to the swinging drawbar, under the pto, you can pull all the people out of the mud, everytime.. it's a tractor, made to pull, completely safe. Only time they become unsafe is when people hook up to the three point arms or where the top link goes out of ignorance.
Bought one there it was half way prepped it had hydraulic leaks and the brush cutter had missing nuts and bolts plus it is for light yard work yes they had to come it the same day I got it home
Came across your channel. Welcome to Ms :) I am about 30 miles north of the La state line with a very rare find 100 acre farm but very close to the interstate and shopping.
Congratulations. Beautiful machine. If the size works for ya, keep her cool and change the oil regularly and she'll lest a long, long time. Learn her limits and respect them and you'll absolutely love that machine.
The great thing about vintage tractors is the simplicity of them. They look wonderful and you have to learn more driving skills to operate them. Newer tractor are easier to operate but harder to service, imo. Both are awesome. I think it's wise to have both. Having all the implements set on the forks made it look like Miranda was ready for battle! Lol Congrats on the new purchase Mike and happy birthday Syd!
A HST will a FEL for the yard and a gear drive for field work makes sense. Pick up old pallets to keep implements off the ground and so they have a home to keep them organized.
Trying to keep up with your channel. Ironically, I have more time when we’re busier, because it’s a lot of time in equipment with auto steer. Those old Ford tractors are really good. Old school, easy to work on. I’d think you would have good neighbors if you needed help with anything.
The Lx's are fancy "Beginner " units, the True L series are REAL TRACTORS for Men. Just get a L3301-2 or L3901-2 with the shuttle shift transmission; that way the "kids" & "amatures" WON'T be joy-rideing it around--so You can get the WORK DONE.
Now that is one sweet tractor!! I'm digging Miranda for the name...sounds pretty fitting. Keep the Ford's Mike. Value will go way up in those babies!! I wish i had my dads tractors yet. Enjoy the ride. Love y'all. Karen ❤️
Have the dealer put fluid ballast in the tires before delivery . BEET JUICE OR ANTIFREEZE IS THE PREFERED MIXTURE NOW IT USED TO BE Calcium Chloride but just a small leak will ruin the wheel with calcium
Welcome to Mississippi! I also live in N. Miss. in Panola County on a family farm, currently have an older 55hp Mahindra and would love to have a little bit larger Kubota with the front end loader. Always projects and grass cutting on the farm, plus I'm always doing wildlife and habitat improvements.
IF U TURN THE THROTTLE DOWN IT WILL MAKE THE BUCKET JOYSTICK LESS JUMPY FYI THE MORE RMPS THE JUMPIER THE LOWER THE RPMS THE LESS JUMPY , WE HAVE HAD A MX5400 FOR ABOUT 2 1/2 YEARS NOW AND IT HAS THE HST TRANS
The LX2610 is probably my favorite Kubota model. Big enough to get shit done, still small enough to be very handy. I would definitely recommend a 3 point Quick Hitch and a hydraulic top link to make life super easy.
Great vid, kubota good tractors. I drive/work with one from 28 year old myself. Thanks for sharing, I always watch your adventures/movies with great pleasure and interest.😃Cheers🍺🍺
I doubt that. When the ALUMINUM hydro-slack-o-howl-o-slip-o-matic Stips OUT, and the super long "wobble loader stick" falls off ,they WILL be fireing out the "Old Fords". They should of got the L 3301-L3901-2 shuttle shift transmission version;--- nearly Bullet-profe.
I bought a L2501. I thought about a grapple but looked at it as a one function item. I bought Long 4-way bucket instead and got a $500 credit for the Kubota bucket. IMO much more versatile, I can grab and pick up fair size logs with it. If you are going to pick up limbs weld on a grille protector, the factory guard provides little or no protection.
I’m a little concerned that the salesman had problems with his knowledge about the tractor. Lol. But I do know kabota makes good equipment. I believe I would have got the bigger one though, it’s better to have the power if you need it.
Did you get the other end of the drive shaft for the tiller or did you have to wait, it probably fell off on the trip out. Also get a quick hich you will like it a lot, qh10 or qh15.
Respect to all Americans who still value the family life. Maximum respect to the kind , calm and caring father and his daughter who loves her father dearly . An advice from all my heart to all the wives in America hold on to your family . Love your husband and respect him and don't fall under pressure of the deceptive media that encourages wives to challange thier husband . Words like " I can lay down to find out the size of the pocket " " Ok .. It's a date" ... posing and acting sexy in front of the camera and other men is very disrespectful and disloyal to the relatioship.
The 2 Ford tractors would be fine for brushoging and pulling a trailer for hay, tiller, post hole, digger, planter for food plots. Kubota will do all your trail maintenance, box blade, digging, road maintenance. Loader is handy for many tasks. Watch GP Outdoors, he's got that LX2610 with a cab with heat,a/C, you'll see what that tractor is capable of.
I was always a fan of Ford’s wonderful tractors! Lotta history in those Fords. It’s hard to say online and not hearing it in person but the Ford engines didn’t sound right to me, but what do I know being online. The exhaust looked like the engines are tired too. I’d bring in a good mechanic. The Kubotas are sweet though.
From one Mississippian to a new Mississippian buying a tractor should go by the KISS method. Keep it simple stupid A fifty horse power would be plenty big enough and you don't need all the new electronic gadgets that the new tractors have. Good luck with the farm
I have owned a Kubota that I bought new in 2004. Zero issues on it since I got it. I was wondering why the delivery guy dropped all the attachments in the front yard instead of putting them under the shed. I would of gone bigger but that unit should be fine for what you got it for. I don't think it will pick up the big round bales that weigh over 1200 lbs. ... hope I'm wrong. 🤠👍
i dont live to far down the road from you guys just a couple hours away in Meridian, MS i have 35 acres with a pond and a creek grew up with 30 horses and 50 cows and just two donkeys at one time had five hogs and about 25 chickens and a couple rabbits running around and i can say the donkeys have been the easiest to maintain unlike the others you can keep the gate open longer and not have to worry about chasing the donkey my dad had a Massey Ferguson 135 with a bush hog, a blade, disc, fertilizer, and auger we used for drilling holes for cross tires when building the coral it connects to the barn. i'm currently thinking about upgrading to a newer tractor with a front bucket haven;t decided on which brand yet looking for the best deal
Kubota is the only tractor company that totL builds its own tractor. Everything on that tractor is Kubota. None of the other tractor companies can say that. It is a fine machine. I do LOVE Kubota 😍 Very important tho, what size Brush/Grass cutter will it pull. 25hp will only pull about a 48" brush cutter.
