The Non-vvti ge bottom end rods are the same as gte and pistons are higher comp then a gte. 10:1 so for a racing aplication it is cheap and responsive setup.

VVTI is better, makes a big difference on turbo applications

I love videos like this, that is incredible on a stock bottom end at that level more so because of how it’s being used. Same turbo as me but I have about £60000 in my long block haha, mines build for literally 1600-2000bhp I plan on UK Time Attacking the car also and cannot wait. Keep doing vids like these there isn’t enough great content like this out there imho ❤

How can you even have 60k in a bottom end? Its like 8k in parts and machining.

GE none VVT-I bottom end internals are the same as GTE internals as we all know. Big turbo with torque coming in after 4.2k RPM I’m sure it’ll survive. But let’s watch vid and see.

The way they were talking the made it sound like they were using a vvti bottom end

I wish I could find a good condition set of used early NA for my VVTI but then again I also don’t want to make over 350 hp a bunch of my friends are trying to build their VTI bottom end cars into thousand horsepower engines The best part about that is my mark three supra runs where there’s has been sitting in their garage for 13 years because they’re gonna get that motor done up the way they want it 😂

A lot of people do that when they probably could've gotten away with the stock bottom end, also what are they planning to do with 1000hp

@@sircefiro brag lol the two kids I know trying to do that really just want it for bragging rights or are saying they’re making a drift car but I have no idea what a drift car is he just Noah to Jade who is a really awesome motor

@@oler777 People talk about 1000 these days like it's nothing then they go in a car with 500 and it scares the shit outta them. You need to be a pretty good drifter to use 1000 lol, sounds like they'll never get them running anyway
@jvinclarence3977
@jvinclarence3977 8 месяцев назад
@@oler777 they don’t need 1000 hp for a drift car lmao. They should’ve worked on the suspension and brakes before touching the engine. I know a guy who was running on the na ge for drift competitions and just now went boosted

@@jvinclarence3977 the favorite set up I’ve had was a MK three supra 7mget with a whole set turbo strap to the thing it didn’t make great power but it made cool noises and was super dorky and you’re preaching to the choir they’ll spend $1500 on a turbo and then buy I don’t even remember the brand I just know it’s the cheap brand of sharks that’s not CX racing. The brand gets used on VW’s.

Andre, I theorize that the higher your boost level is, the less strain is exerted on the rod bolts across TDC of the exhaust stroke, due to the drive pressure in front of the turbine wheel, and depending on cam timing, also potentially incoming boost pressure during overlap. Either way, there is a air spring of sorts cushioning the piston on the exhaust stroke. I suppose the point at which this theory fails might be when the rev limiter is activated... What do you say about this?

The non-sub watch rate fall all channels is really high, we all do that so don't feel bad but glad to have you onboard if you've subbed now :) - Taz.

Thought on the odds of damaging the head pushing stock bottom ends then blowing them? Blowing the bottom end is fine but the head and turbo etc can get mowed as well, risks of the game I suppose

You should have put in a in car lap in the video so we could hear some 2jz sounds

I guess harmonics come into play on the rod bolts at higher rpm.

Hi totally not related but i got an idea some time ago im building awd civic and i was trough engine rebuild front suspension rebuild and everything i done myself i found it really pain in the ass to service front bearings because these are pressed into the knuckle since i was planing on making car a bit wider and need to redesign front suspension at some point i wondered if i could build custom knucle with bolt on hub+bearing assembly do you have any experience with bolted bearings? are these a good sollution to my issue? is there a higher risk of bolt breaking or going loose than pressfited bearing? the main problem i have is that pressfited bearing needs to be installed properly otherwise it can crack the knucle and im woried about it if i keep driving this car as i did before reuild i will need to change bearings every year and thats alot stress put on a knuckle

3 weeks ago Haltech told me that they do not work on customer cars. I have spent over 7k with them & I asked them if I could pay them to wire & tune my $60k engine nope "we don't work on customer cars". I told them I have seen videos suggesting otherwise & left it at that.

They only seem to work on sponsorship and company backed cars. Makes sense really. Customer work is a whole different ball game

If you spent 60k on an engine, you should know beforehand who is going to tune and wire the engine. Sounds like you’re blaming Haltech for your own poor planning.
