Will Transformers ONE Be Connected To The Live Action Movies? 

I’m honestly more aligned with the fact that this will be in it’s own continuity. And that it will have a few references and Easter eggs to the movies both from the Bayverse and the Rebooted continuity. But not directly tied with both continuities

Hope this movie does really well, love an Optimus and Megatron friendship backstory set during the Golden Age of Cybertron. Wonder how Megs and Optimus become enemies in this new origin?

My guess is Transformers One Origins of Cybertron prequel is the part of the Rebooted continuity cause of the faitful g1 aesthetics

It looks more so self-contained but in a way if you look into it enough you can make connections to the movies

I was, literally, wondering this at work yesterday; great to see “the Man” tackling. Keep up the great work Theorymus! I kinda hope it’s a soft prequel for the new continuity although being in its own standalone continuity doesn’t bother me either.

From what I've heard, particularly from the fire brothers, this movie isn't meant to concretely connect with any of the movies but it's made in such a way that it could be the starting point of any of those movies. That sounds like a good thing since it's a prequel it can do anything it wants up until the fall of Cybertron which could be where the story for this movie or it's followup sequels end

idk man, i grew up with bay's transformers, this seems like a whole different style, i could get used to it but it is a pretty big change from live action edit: just watched the trailer, im loving it

Tbh it looks like smth that could work for a reactivate sequel,if you look at that ss Optimus Toy it liiks like a cybertronian reactivate prime. Head and legs design alongside tue proportions are nearly the same

Honestly I don’t really care if it ties into the live action movies; I’m really excited that we are finally going to see more of Cybertron and the origins of both Optimus and Megatron, sure a lot of people could say: “well there’s the War for cybetron Trilogy” or “read the comics”, for what I’ve seen so far the war for cybertron trilogy wasn’t a hit amongst Transformers fans, most people thought it was boring, and with the comics, there’s way to many comics out there that is sometimes hard to keep track. So to have a movie dedicated to explain the origins, it’s a great move, and for once, we will finally have a transformers movie without humans!

I kinda like the D-16 design now. I think we just need to wait a bit before bashing it for the designs. I feel like Bayverse fans should probably know the feeling on people not separating a design that is good from the original character.

Hi, for me it is a prequel to the bumblebee movie, maybe the designs are different because of the more cartoon style, but the story may be before bumblebee. Like the Clone Wars series, the designs are slightly different from the live action films, but the series is cannon in the main story.

I can’t believe that there are only two animated Transformers movie (three if you count Predacons Rising) we need more animated Transformers movies.

Originally I thought that this would be a prequel to PRIME. Because of Optimus and Megatron's backstory, and Arachnid appearing.

It woud be nice for it too be a wholee new series/ own continuity for Transformers on the Big Screen. Its honestly been needed for a little while now, Can't wait too see this when it comes out & HOPEFULLY we get new toys for this movie as welll.

I honestly really hope it's gonna be connected with the newest Transformers live action movie universe. Like you said B-127's vehicle mode is very reminiscent of his vehicle mode in the Bumblebee movie. It's possible he just got upgraded over the years because of war. And lots of the buildings in the background look an awful lot like something we saw in the opening battle in Bumblebee.

I'd say it is it's own thing but it's done in a way you can canonize it yourself to be connected to either Bayverse or the rebooted timeline basically an anthology of all the continuities

Most watchers are movie goers that dont have too much knowledge about transformers; the reason as to why some information are taken from other movies like for example, bumblebee's name b-127. It may not mean that its connected but the writers want you to have atleast have some background information you've seen before without explaining too much

i hope its part of the reboot because i dont know about two movie continuities releasing at the same time and i really dont want that either of them would get canceled

I don’t see how it wouldn’t be a prequel if it wasn’t called “Transformers One” it would be odd if that was the name of a first movie

Even tho it would be interesting to have another continuity on the big screen, along with the other Bayverse and the Knightverse, i would rather have this one be a prequel to the Knightverse so it wouldn't get confusing to the audience. We like to understand which continuity each movie belongs to, however some people dont really do the research and just get confused. Furthermore, the producers and other movie directors coming into the franchise can also get mix up with the continuity when working on a new movie.

NGL, I'm a little 50/50 on liking this new concept of how some Transformers can... TRANSFORM, but it does kind of seem like the opposite of the whole T-cog and Amalgamous Prime thing. Since the 9th Prime, it seemed like Primus would design these guys to all have T-cogs. But I still think that's a cool idea to make some transform and others not because of their social classes.

If the Transformers live-action movie continued well Cybertron Golden Age to the present You may have seen Protoform design become an autobot leader as it was upgraded during the lower years of Optimus, workers, librarians, police, and so on.

Apparently the original pitch for this movie was a adaptation of the IDW movie tie in comics "Foundation" and "Defiance" even tho its a huge shame we never got that, im still excited for TFone cuz it looks like a fun movie regardless of continuity

Mostly, it will connect to the continuity of bumblebee and rise of the beast. It makes sense of the way they’re behaving. Having more of a lighthearted tone to this movie they’re not at war so they don’t have that stoic attitude they which they will get later on within the movie. The thing is if this movie does well which telling from positive feedback from early screenings most likely I really hope they when it comes to this new continuity of transformers, they take the time to improve the story the pacing overall everything. The real problem is the G.I. Joe crossover movie. I feel like that’s a little early and we don’t know if they are going to introduce characters from the previous G.I. Joe movies or introduce a new G.I. Joe for this continuity and how will that work because I know there’s multiple characters in G.I. Joe and with the autobots that’s a lot of characters that need to be bounced out and that’s gonna be an extremely messy movie and I think it might continuity of the franchise in jeopardy. if you wanna know an example of that happening, look at Ghostbusters frozen Empire number one as you can tell it has way too many characters that it was hard to balance out. They left some characters to be outshined by other characters. Some characters were not even well. Flashed out an example of a movie. Balancing out characters is the avengers movie. I’m gonna pick up infinity war because I felt like they had all the characters balanced out. Everyone got equal amount of screen time and got their times of shine. That is what I am afraid of when it comes to Transformers that they won’t balance out the characters Characters will shine overshadowing other characters

If it was connected to the Knightverse, I for one would be very surprised. Its gonna be fun anyway but an origin for that specific Optimus Prime and Megatron (who we STILL have never seen) would be awesome.

I think it might be similar to that DC League of Superpets movie from 2022, where it has familiar faces of classic heroes that are shared with a live action franchise, though not connected and being a fun animated movie to watch without delving into a franchise

I’m okay with this version, but it can never take the place of the Transformers Bayverse. For your next video, you should do one about why Quintessa was not able to or did not try to stop the Guardian Knights when they rebelled against her and stole her staff. The question I sometimes have been thinking regarding what happened when the Guardian Knights rebelled against Quintessa and when Optimus Prime attempts to kill Quintessa upon first meeting her, “If Quintessa had so many abilities at her disposal which she used to subdue and restrain Optimus Prime when he attempted to kill her upon them first meeting each other, why did she not use them to stop the Guardian Knights or did not try to stop them when the Guardian Knights rebelled against her and stole her staff?”.

I love the Transformers franchise, but I don’t really know the Pre-War lore all that well. But my Dad (who’s been around before it first came out) said that their not sticking to the lore. But it looks cool I think, and I’m excited.

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind if it’s its own continuity but if they want to throw it in the night versus to like expand the universe then I’m OK with that too. I’m just glad we’re finally getting a Cybertron movie!. ( I still feel bad for all the transformers projects that got canceled tho 😢

Personally, I think it is going to be a part of the rebooted continuity since it has several callbacks to Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts. However, I'm taking this with a Devastator sized grain of salt considering that one of the executive producers is the infamous Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who constantly contradicts himself and frustrates me a lot more than Michael Bay.

What I also would like to see in this movie is there's a scene in transformers prime where he speaks to the council well technically both of them do Megatronus and him and they're impressed by his knowledge and his wisdom. I hope we get to see something like that as well

I believe that Transformers One is its own story and not connected to the Live Action movies.

I’m open for it to be either its own thing or part of the Bee-Verse. We’ll see how it lines up when it happens.

To be honest, I think it's in its own continuity. This is because it is not exactly the same from the life action movies. However I do see how they got some of the ideas, with the fallen persuading Megatron to turn against Optimus. Because it looks like the mask that Megatron saw in the cave in the trailer, might be the fallen. Now this could also be Tarn. But I also think that after Megatron was observing the head of the fallen, he then entered Megatron's mind and could have corrupted him to turn against Orion. Which of course this is a call back to Transformers revenge of the fallen, and then sort of the aligned continuity with Megatron naming himself after Megatronus. That would make the most sense to me. What we'll just have to wait and see.

Depending on how the Transformers X G.I Joe movie goes. If it’s good I could see it being apart of the universe, if it fails then I think they’ll use Transformers One as a spring board for new films. I’d like it to be apart of the new rebooted films tho.

Not because I want bay back bc I don't but I know we would've gotten more films like bumblebee if we did since it was created as a prequel until they made the cybertron scene and robbed us of one of the best live action megatron designs ever. Bumblebee's prequel cut was the perfect balance between action, heart, character and simplicity we wanted for so long.

Here’s a question I’ve had for years. During the period between RotF and DotM, Megatron was at his absolute weakest point, and therefore Starscream had a golden opportunity to backstab him and take over the Decepticons, so why didn’t he? His first lines in DotM are literally just mocking Megatron’s vulnerability.

(when Megatron revives and reunites with Starscream) I’m just wondering why only versions of it from movies 1, 3, and 5 were included
