When I sing I actually can hear my own real voice and pitch it so that it correlates with the melody, and looking at Will's headphones I kinda think that it is the same thing When I wear headphones my voice drastically changes and I lose the control about it's pitch, so I try to leave one ear free when I sing Maybe that's just me, but thoughts about Will doing the same make me feel a bit better
