great reaction! so cool fact about this song, its about MKUltra which was an illegal human experiments program designed and undertaken by the U.S. CIA, it was confidential and no one knew about it till it was over but I suggest to learn about it because it is very interesting but I thought this fact may help a little bit with the meaning of why a lot of was written the way it was!

wow!!!! thank you so much for this stellar reaction :) i’ve been watching your normal album reaction series and i am always amazed at how introspective your lyrical breakdowns are. even in this song, which is famously one of will’s hardest songs to analyse because a lot of it means everything and nothing at the same time, you did a great job of picking up on some of the little hints in the lyrics (like the frontal lobotomy mention with the transorbital ice pick, the fact that it sounds like it’s describing of a person’s crazed mental state) so again i am super proud and blown away!!! i’ve listened to this song so many times and read the lyrics so many times and you seem to have actually understood some of the lyrics even on your first time reading them! thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this 😁😁😁 we really appreciate you!!! can’t wait for the next song, ‘marsha, thankk you for the dialectics but i need you to leave’; it’s my personal favourite, and one of the many reasons i’m pursuing psychiatry after medical school :) also!! fun fact! will is actually in the process of remixing/remastering this album right now so a new take on the normal album might come out soon!! it might be something you’d like to listen in your own time if it’s of any interest :) finally, i just wanted to mention the order in which you react to will’s songs. the normal album is will’s third album out of four. if you would like, after finishing this one, if i were you i would react to his earlier music from albums 1 and 2, ‘everything is a lot,’ and ‘self-ish.’ i say that because his final studio album, ‘in case i make it,’ is such a beautiful deviation from what most fans would expect from a chaotic and unpredictable creator like will wood. in my opinion, the fourth and final album sort of “hits more” if you’re familiar with all of will’s work up to then. regardless, every song from every album he does is just fun and great so react to whatever in whichever order you would like 😸😸😸 and again! i just wanted to say thanks for reacting to this song and the previous songs because you do such a great job at it! i love watching your takes on the lyrics. the great thing about interpretation is that anything can fly if you have the lyrics to back it up!! you must probably be getting pretty bored of all these ultra-long comments on every video (sorry!) but i hope you know your will wood audience values you a lot. thank you and have a great day :) 😁😁😁😁

Hooray, my second favorite song on the album! Next up is my favorite on the album! Stevens-Johnson Syndrome is a reaction (like an allergy) people can have to pharmaceuticals, could be any type of drug, but I *think* it's common with antipsychotics and antibiotics. But you get a widespread rash and your skin can just separate from your body if it's bad enough. I had a coworker whose sister-in-law died from it.

So little information since this is the live performance of the song the moment he stops and picks up the phone is slowed down a bit with pauses in between and the large instrumental part usually plays behind it getting more chaotic as his words get more agressive until the end and then it goes right back into the song
