Hype isnt dying. Resell is. So far, 95% of the adidas yeezys still sells out. You might see it on sale here or there, but it still never reached the outlet stores.
95%?... when it used to be 100%. AJ1's wont reach outlets either. That was not my point. But they will sit online and in-stores longer because no one will care about them. I also never mentioned they wouldn't sell out. They will, but no one will care about them. Just how no one compliments the AF1's that people wear.
The thing is Kanye and Adidas don't care about the "hype" in the way you're describing it. Making limited quantities of a shoe won't make them more money. You couldn't be more wrong about Yeezy dying out. They'll become like Nike AF1s where everyone will have a pair. Nike makes more money off low costing shoes and GS than they do off "hyped" releases. They're following the same model.
You supported an argument that wasn't in this video. They can follow what ever strategy they want to remain profitable but it does not eliminate the fact that the hype is declining.
Hype or not, they're making bank. First they hyped everything up, and then gradually expanded the line with not-so-limited releases in the hopes people would buy them anyway; which they did.
I disagree . Yeezy will literally just end up like Jordan Brand. They will have low reselling sneakers and some releases will be hyped which would cost a bit more after resale ( like Jordan Brand). Its not that complicated. Ye is just using Micheal Jordan as a reference to his own brand ( Same silhouettes ,Multiple releases , Different colourways)
Whats happening to GR Jordan brand releases? Sitting. And if they sell out, they barely flip. Why? Because the market is saturated. Everyone will experience the YEEZY hype and once they do that demand won't be so high. It could be that YE is doing what MJ has done. But Jordan has multiple styles. New styles (even if they're ugly) every year.
@@RawFlip We'll just have to see . Jordan's Documentary allowed some sneakers to go up in price . Who knows what YE has up he's sleeves. Anything is possible with YE🤷🏾♂️
In terms of repeatedly releasing similar colorways and color blocking, the same can be said for the Air Jordan 1 but those still sell out more often or not
Personally, I believe that Yeezys will make a comeback if they drop the 350 v2 model and move on making more models that are both limited and aesthetically pleasing.
I think they're making 350v2 as their main shoe just like what the superstar is for adidas originals, the airforce 1 for nike, and the Jordan 1 for jordan brand. The other models like 380s, 700v3, and 500 highs are there to innovate. New silhouettes will drive the hype while the v2s keep the company afloat.
Sneaker Chefs that is true,,, hopefuly kanye decides to drop more rare colourways like 700 v3s and newer models , even mixed in with 350s to please his vision
I would say older 350s like the Red cores,Oreos, olive,Copper and the V1s are still worth money and still sought after for then then newer releases that all look the same
Yea... I dunno lol. Slides sat online and im banking on them rn lol. Uh I just hold the yeezys and they stay going up. My bae cinders pairs ended up going back up just like I figured they would.
If you're talking about business, then you would care about this 'hype' shit. I wear what I like and usually at a steal. I still try to cop shoes that I won't wear and resell them. If I got a chance to win a pair of hyped shoes like Dunk Grateful Dead at retail, I'd be so fucking happy to sell them to people who wanna pay them ugly shoes for stupid price. I don't care if Yeezy's dead. I won't wear em', even at retail, but I just don't get it how you define the 'dead' of a sneaker. Yeezy sold out most of the time so they're not dead. They're just not so exclusive anymore. Do we say Uniqlo plain Tees are dead while people still buy them yet at times are discounted?
Maybe just me but I just don't like adidas in general. They charge 180-200 whereas nike charges 130-170 usually, and Adidas shoes just aren't built well. Ultraboost yellows, sole peels off, primeknit frays. On Yeezys the soles are just cheap rubber that rips and the same boost stain and primeknit ripping. You can have a pair of Jordans for 5-10 years and they can still look fresh, I just don't think Adidas shoes are worth the money all hype aside
There are pros and cons. I personally enjoy Adidas's comfort. I have worn my UB since 2015. Yes they do Yellow but you can just paint them again. Other than that, they still hold up!
Thank you! It's amazing how disingenuous people are. For the fuckn hype. I get it, its people's money but damn, people will literally buy dogshit if its hyped enough.
