You say this all of the time, Paul. Good advice! In fact, I’m going to work harder to say less negative things, and accentuate the positives. Being away from my Wife and HOME, really brings out how much I miss the Philippines! 😢🇵🇭🌴 Hopefully, within 6 weeks I’ll be on my final flight back HOME? 🤞🇵🇭🌴❤️
Great to hear from you Monty! I totally agree with what you said. We are guests there. Act right and be thankful for the life you have there. Keep up the great work. Look forward to hearing from you soon.
Hi Mr Crew i spent the month of February in the Philippines i didn't know if i could get used to the Traffic when I rented a scooter it was the most fun i ever had driving. You are so correct about the political b.s. i want to here about peoples lives not their opinions
good wisdom and love watching your vlog, no apprehensions all with 100% honesty, this is the reason why people are watching you Monty... More blessings on your way 🙏
I tell you Monty-great to see how much healthier you are now-You are a good man, I relate to so many of your thoughts of life and there is no easy solution to this human condition but cool that you have a beautiful daughter in your life and you are showing and telling what is important in this life!
HI MONTY . So glad to see you in another video. You give good solid advice and hope you keep at these videos. I make comments , dumb or otherwise to hope me and others help support your channel. BTW , To see your daughter and wife when she does these videos , brings back memories of my first marriage and our child. The JOY of a child saying I LOVE YOU DADDY is a gft from GOD . GOD BLESS CIAO
Good advice. I tell everyone think positive, don’t associate with Negative people , it will take u down. When I joined military first thing told Don’t talk politics an Religion lose friends. Happy for u Take care.
Hi Monty, glad to see you doing so good. You gave plenty of good advice.... we should all embrace moving to the Philippines as an "opportunity" to not give a poop about all the non-sense left behind. Keep up the good work, and enjoy your time best you can. Peace and Love, B Goat
Hi Monty. Mate it's with great pleasure to listen to your thoughts on this topic, couldnt agree more. I think as a lonely person coming to the PI, they should just take a few months break there, get the feel for the country, see if you like and or can't cope. Go home, recess, then my the big decision. I believe going all in, especially if you never been there, certain things may get on your nerves. My opinion Monty, appreciate the vid, cheers
I agree with you are in a another man country Monty you cnt complain about traffic the brown outs the smells basically anything you have to have patience one thing I learn from the Philippines is that they are family orientated and if you get a good flipina keep her I have learned so much from a lot of RU-vidrs in Philippines again Monty I so are in agreement with you
Women want Financial Security, whether they are Filipina or American, the difference is, does she truly love you, will she be loyal to stick with you, even when times get tough? From my personal experience & observations of girls in the USA, sadly most would be more likely to upgrade to a wealthier man, while Filipinas are more likely to be loyal to their man. The people of Philippines have better family values than people from the USA. I'm glad you found a quality lady Monty!
I do the same thing Monty, when I am in the Philippines I learned let my wife do the talking. I remember on my first visit when we took a taxi from the hotel to the airport in Manila and the taxi broke down half-way but the driver was insisting that he be given 200 pesos which my wife calmly gave to him. When I asked why did she give him money seeing that he did not get us to our destination she said to me, 200 pesos is a small price to pay to avoid an argument in this place which we are not familiar with. I recognized her wisdom and commended her.
I'm in Florida for 38 yrs now and it would be hard to give up this great weather and move north. I wish we had mountains like the Philippines. I'm glad you're at peace moving to the Philippines and starting a new life. I hope to one day get there and shake your hand.👍🌴
Monty.... Just can't reconcile myself to the age difference. But I must say that you have done it with your heart. Always relevant information, not condescending teaching, and then you don't have to wear a hat to get more views. I tip my Panama hat to you. My bad Monty....
Yeah, I definitely don’t need a Panama hat to do it 🤣 I used to like to wear them but recently because of a certain person I no longer care for them. Thank you so much for always watching and commenting It’s very much appreciated.
It is hard to not be effected by the changes and frustrations of living in the Philippines when you’re used to having things work a certain way but you are 100% right that you have to get over it. Politics in the USA are so toxic and divide people too much. The reason I’m retiring to the Philippines is to get away from talking about all that crap that you can’t do anything about anyways.
It all starts with faith that the Lord wants good for you. In 2012 I went through a terrible divorce which left me broken and deep in debt. Today I have a wonderful wife from the Philippines , great career, and solid finances. So many guys let the setback be the defining aspect of their lives. A wise preacher told me FIDO. Forget It and Drive On!
Monty, great video!! Your right about a lot of women in America. They want to know how much you make, how much money is your bank, etc..... You hit the jackpot with your Filipino wife! Take care!!
But Geoff, what is the difference, Monty's talking about his $ support of his wife (& daughter) giving her the ability to travel? How is that any different from $ support & travel for a western woman? (Other than she wouldn't be 25 & thin, she'd be 55 & chunky in the West!)
@@walkerskii That's funny, 55 and chunky!😅😅 I see your point! I've been to Japan, South Korea and Panama. It just seems like the people I met there were more down to earth than many Americans are today. They were more interested in the person themselves, than how much money was in their bank account or how much money you earn. Anyways, that just my perception.
Good to have another vlog so soon. i see that youre back in the tampo house. oh well ive had to do that many, many times. i used to work offshore on the oil platforms. i was out for at least 15 days at a time and i got home and my wife said why did you even come home? i hate you. i wish you were back at work. so i disappeared lol. about 3 or 4 days she finally found me back at work. it was sad to rather be on a small steel island in the Louisiana marsh instead of at home but i had respect there and had good food, could go fishing and boat riding and made real good money. we divorced eventually and i went thru 2 more in short order but now i have a Filipina for 13+ years and a much better wife and peace in my home.
Spot on, Monty! I’ve done my best to not discuss U.S. OR Philippine politics! It won’t do any good, and might just alienate a potential good friend 😢 I’ve whined about Metro Manila traffic, too much on my videos. But I’ve turned a new leaf, and plan to say more about the positives of the Philippines! 🌴 It took leaving there 10 days ago (liquidation going on in the States!) to realize just how good things were, overall, to forget about some of the inconveniences of living there. Hopefully, within 6-8 weeks I’ll get everything sold, and get back HOME! 🙏🇵🇭🌴
There is one thing I can't understand...The phillipines is interested in the money that foreigners can spend in the country but the foreigners isn't allowed to have a say in anything regarding the politics in the phillipines ...That is not fair in my opinion...I believe everyone has the right to have a opinion and to speak their opinion...Here in my country(Norway) foreigners have the right to say what they want politically...Of course they can't vote until they have become a citizen but no one is denying them to speak their mind ...
A lot of the ex-pats will always bring their issues with them. Any update on the situation where the family and friends are coming to your house to eat every day?
Yes Pat we had a family meeting and everybody that is not an immediate family cannot eat here. A gentleman did send us enough to buy 150 kilos of rice and 300 eggs to feed the local kids breakfast
@@crewfamilyphilippines that is wonderful news, a very kind gentleman to send you that money for rice and eggs. That would get on my nerves for sure people showing up eating all my food. One thing being generous, but then another being taken advantage of. Glad you sorted it out. One less thing to stress you out.
What if a person is not married or even married and dies in the Philippines. How does their body get back to the USA? I heard they bury you in Phil but dig you up several years later.
When I was over in Leyte visiting my Filipina before I retire, the most uncomfortable I felt was around other foreigners. Why complain about the Philippines not being like your country. Go back I would think.
Happiness is a choice, why live in negativity? I unfollow every person whom needs to post political posts on Facebook. I had enough. People ruining family ties and friendships for a politician or a party? Fools I don't need to know.
In immigration process you go threw required class CFO philippines government tell immigrant dont compare your country to u. s that will only cause fighting it the same living in philippines dont do that their no comparison i am moving to philippines because of cost of living happy wife happy life
Good ideas ! -- -- "Live long and prosper." -- Enjoy the tranquility and the peaceful welcoming environment ! > Looking to enjoy the Philippines this fall - coming from the US and retired already. Alone..... but looking to enjoy my last years in warm weather with good food cheap rent & friendly people - both locals and expats ! Can't get that in the US ? -- Thanks Monty !!! 🤗
