@pokeypoke4836 nahh heroine helps but John wasn't worried about dead lines. Not because of the drugs, he just never was. Especially not here. He was already wanting out of being a beatle long before this and jaut going through the motions, writing what he felt like when he felt like it. Paul was still concerned about the band and was pretty much the only one by the end who really didn't want to break up. Ringo wanted to for his health(mental and physical), George wanted to because he was done playing second fiddle to John and Paul and was in fact the only one I the group who actually disliked Yoko. The rest didn't really care believe it or not. And John already wanted out long before now. He was sick of being a performance monkey and being seen as a thing instead of a person. He wanted to go back to not being mobbed when he walked down the street and to be able to write without a deadline.
@@chumon1992 sure, but he was legit high on heroin for most of these sessions. If he wasn’t, he would probably be getting in Paul’s face super hard due to the withdrawal, and the fact that he honestly hated Paul at this point. It’s sad but one of the things that made Let it Be possible was the fact that John was on heroin.
John saying “when I’m up against the wall is when I’m at my best”. So true for the Rubber Soul sessions when they were running out of time to complete the album. His Terrific songs: Girl, Norwegian Wood, In my life, Nowhere Man.
@@louisspeciale823 I always heard that Run For Your Life and What Goes On were both last minute songs, but it turns out Run For Your Life was the first thing they recorded for the album.
Ringo was like the kid screaming and acting crazy when mom and dad are trying to have a serious conversation and finally it got to the level where it could no longer be ignored. LOL!!

I see John as the cool, aloof one who knew he was a genius. Paul was the responsible workaholic who was great at everything, but grated on his bandmates. Ringo was just having fun, goofing around, though secretly he was insecure (though he has his own kind of ‘tao of pooh’ wisdom). George was splifted💨 and enlightened and had the cutest girlfriend so he didn’t give 2 fks.

I didn't even notice Ringo the first time lol Ringo was the innocent one, he was never involved in any of the drama, he just wanted to drum. He was like the little kid playing on his own while Mummy and Daddy fight and trying to make the family happy again so they won't get divorced

@@nahueldumois6285 You got the wrong guy. I'm a conservatory trained composer and musician. I know a lot more than that. But you are right, most wouldn't know many. But not because they weren't more prolific than the Beatles. But because their era was 30 years previous to them. But Jerome kern alone wrote over 700 songs. One could say the Beatles were the best rock song writering pair. Or even threesome with George. Instead of throwing out the typical goat or genius fanboy comments. But I get the enthusiasm. I love the Beatles too. I just can't discount the other great song writers. I try to stay objective. Peace.

@@nahueldumois6285 You could have a strong point that the Beatles were more prolific, but they weren't even close. The song writers I cited each wrote 5 times the amount of great songs as the Beatles.
They're "playing" hammy rôles in a film. Joking around. It's obvious to nearly anyone who isn't a yank. It's so tiresome, having to explain the whole nuance thing to you lot 🙄
I love that Paul didn't want to feel alone in this project. Yes he was pushy during this phase but he never considered to be the best man. He wanted all the members (specially John, and even George) to excel their capabilities. Jokinly he asks John if he has new songs, and John replies that he knows he delivers his best when he's pushed against the wall (the calendar). The more I see, John , the more convinced he had some level of ADHD. I really love their brotherly interactions and I wish they had the knowledge we have today, to resolve their inner issues. John Lennon and Paul McCartney remain to this day as the most successful and influential musical partnership in rock history.
Say what you will about John, but he was one cool cat. He kept his cool and was like "yeah I'll write something legendary don't worry" what a badass lol not many people can be so sure of themselves next to Paul McCartney
Ringo...was the "glue" of that band. Ringo...is also, the nicest guy in all of Rock-N-Roll. No one compares to Ringo's character. The nicest guy to ever be in Rock-N-Roll.. bar none.
Ringo may have been the nice guy glue, but John was the hard-edged cocky creative genius and clear leader of the greatest band of all time who propelled them to fame and fortune, and immortality.
Yes they were joking around as they were dealing with the mic setup! But Paul was being real when he finally had it with the feedback! That part was obviously not a "bit".
These guys created so much beautiful music in 8 short years. By today’s standards, their output would equal about 25 years of work. Hardest working band in the world.
this is both fun and funny. i wonder how much of paul's reaction to the feedback was acted and how much was spontaneous, if any. but even him nagging john and john giving no fuck is funny enough. Paul was definitely the most talented he was the Elvis of the group. All the girls liked him he was the handsome classy Beatle I think that’s why the rest of the guys were jealous of his blessings.
And I don’t think McCartney is being passive aggressive at all. He’s been pretty direct about have you written anything? It’s approaching that time we really need it. I want you to come up with the goods. That is not passive aggressive at all.
Paul was right. Pretty much through this entire situation. He was trying to be a professional musician and songwriter while John wanted to go do drugs with Yoko and George wanted to go make George music. (Can’t blame George for that honestly.) but I can definitely see where Paul was coming from being like “John are you sure you want to talk about doing drugs in front of the cameras?” “John how about we have some new material for the album we’re supposed to have in the can in 5 weeks?” Very sensible frankly.
In the Get Back documentary I'll never forget seeing Paul looking at John a little sharp when John started his story about getting stoned the other night and you could see John looking somewhat cautiously at Paul. That was the only time I ever heard and saw Paul become annoyed at "Mr. Lennon..."
Yeah, damn right, because he'd JUST FINISHED the best double album of all time and frankly John's contributions were 100% better than Paul's. Why do one five months later? Eff off, Macca. Take a chill pill..
@@silasmarner7586 THAT, I think, is the sole cause of all this tension and strife. The guys should have taken as much time off as they needed. Then again, maybe that would have aided the break up.
I think they might be sort of acting here (😂 they are looking up at the microphone used to record them) but it reflects one of the primary tensions in the Beatles, John is a more instinct songwriter, natural, emotional, raw and undisciplined, whereas Paul is a more methodical, pattern based, disciplined writer. And that duality together can be powerful but it no doubt brings tension.
@@gretchennelson7056Paul was a threat. She took every opportunity to keep them apart. In 1974 John was going to record with Paul with support from May Pang. The second he got back with Yoko he all of a sudden couldn’t do it. The anti Yoko hate used to be too much but now it’s gone too far in the opposite direction. She deserves to be disliked by Beatles fans as she kept the engine of the band apart. Why should Beatles fans respect her when she didn’t respect the band?
As the leader of a professional cover band for over 40 years, I can feel Paul's frustration. Every band has a PAUL: Leader, worried about next tour/gig JOHN:Jokester poking Paul's seriousness GEORGE: Patient, artistic, team-playier RINGO: Classic drummer personality ♥️ This is the recipe for a successful band. Staying together more than five years is the hard part.
Paul's personality was always the push. John was the well. George was the minstrel and the breeze. Richard was the tempo and the spinning wheel. They took us all along on their magical mystery tour. ❤ forever.
It seems like it was staged for the cameras because when he screamed all was kind of being half-jokingly saying that, John says I think I have Sunday off
yeah you can feel the tension at this time they can hardly look at each other both staring up, both used sarcasm as a tool for deflecting and communicating
@@aydenhdgaming5336 They're staring up because there's a microphone there. It started as a private, actual conversation, but when they noticed the mic they started playing up to it.
Pretty funny. Difficult to see exactly what’s going on because we catch the conversation somewhere in the middle. Initially, they probably were actually discussing business, but once they realized the whole thing was being filmed and documented, that changed the dynamic. Like purposely not looking at each other and upward towards the microphone. And John saying something like I think I have Sunday off 🤣🤣🤣
