Nath Bourdon she had breast cancer when I was 11 when I turned 13 it came back in her bones and liver and was given 2 weeks to live she died on the 16th December xx
Just listened to this on my iphone and still believe it is one of the best pop male vocal performances of the last 20 years. Really believed it would have more views.
I was so happy back in 2002 when Will Young won pop idol - I thought he had a truly beautiful and unique voice - I was a relatively young 39 then - I’ll be 60 next year - how time flies - blink and you’ll miss it:))
(1) Video is from 2009 when RU-vid wasn't as huge (2) He's not American (3) He's gay. These are 3 factors which automatically make it harder to achieve global stardom in the music industry.
@@elaustraliano whether he is gay or not. It doesn't alter the fact he is a global super singer! It shouldn't even matter about being gay if you want to be famous gay and break into the music industry. No he's not american, he never faked it to have to make it in the music business. Some yanks do fake it to make it. No offence but it is Fact! Look at Britney, Mariah, and others after their time.
Will is one of the most underrated performers of all time - in my humble opinion - his delivery is faultless, notwithstanding wonderful acting talent - Britain should be so proud such a true star, not of the modern throwaway variety
U571...must agree....whatever your preference. ..good words....sung well. As is a few of his tunes...me I like EVE.be see people. ...I don't believe it's over...
This song was on the radio when the nurses brought my baby in the room after 2 wks of me being in critical care. I will never forget this song. Perfect
I searched to listen to this song because it was playing as I pushed out my eldest daughter in the delivery room. She’s now 16 years old. It’s nice to read this comment. What a lovely coincidence!
Sometimes you walk by the goods ones 'Cause you're trying too hard, too hard to see them And sometimes you don't find the right lines 'Cause you're trying, too hard, too hard to hear them But you know what it feels like, 'cause you're like me And you won't give up Till an all time love 'Cause nothing else is good enough I want an all time love To find me Some days you're too set in your ways And you forget to shut up, shut up and listen And some days you just have to misplace all your mistakes Somewhere that you won't miss them So stop lying that you're fine, cause you're like me And you can't give up Till an all time love 'Cause nothing else is good enough I want an all time love To find me I don't believe that it's a failure I don't believe that it's a fault 'Cause if everything were plain sailing Oh, tell me what would there be left to exalt But an all time love 'Cause nothing else is good enough I want an all time love To find me I want an all time love 'Cause nothing else is good enough I want an all time love To find me
My late mother loved listening to this song as it reminded her of my late father being her all time love. Will's singing is really beautiful on this track and I can understand even more now why it meant so much to her. 😢
The video is quiet frankly a masterpiece!! The idea that at the end of any relashionship we are put on trial (all be it in the minds of people) and every thing we have done,no mater how minor it seemed at the time,is re- and cross examined. After which we are found guilty or not. Fantastic conceept for a music video. Using Nurenburg as inspiration was a stroke of genuis. One of the best music videos for a generation imho
The stars aliened here, rare, rare perfection, the lyrics, relatable, poetic, the music, high quality, right on point, the vocalist, perfect timing and something you rarely witness, genuine self confidence/love and a very tender soul which he exposed bravely, I'm sure he's been through much to acquire it. I'm so glad I came across it.
Will's voice is Will's voice. Superb, natural smooth. But the musical accompaniment is absolutely spot on. The solitide of the piano, then the strings. Just perfect! A Masterpiece.
Back when I watched Pop Idol I knew a unique voice when I heard it. Proud to have voted for you Will and how far you’ve come and grown as an artist and actor.
I’m sorry no shade to anyone but this song is absolutely to the core amazing and soul touching❤ I cannot believe there is less than 2 million views in over 14 years I guess that’s bittersweet in someway❤
" why dont you slow down, turn your head round, your treading on hearts that are giving in with a little grace...... " this song truly speaks the words of how i feel about my soon to be ex husband. he didnt just leave me, he also decided to walk away from his 4 children. he left us all for a 17 year old, nice man. !!! this song is really helping me through one of the worst time in my life. i have loved Will since the first day he walked into that audition, i spent £45 in the phone box just to vote for him. lol xxxx
I can't believe how underrated Will is, he's an amazing vocalist, I was listening to his music since 2002, I can't believe the lack of views on his music videos
'I don't believe that it's a failure I don't believe that it's a fault 'Cause if everything were plain sailing Oh, tell me what would there be left to exalt' ... this gets to me every time 😢
Beautiful song. Love Will. This song reminds me of my ex husband. :-( 7 Years on my eyes still leak water when I think of him and these beautiful song.
You know we never really die. We just go somewhere else, where we look upon our loved ones, forever. She is still with you. Just not as you once imagined her to be. Bless you both.
The young poet (Young) is part of a friendship & love triangle. He is clearly loved by a woman, but keeps a man as a companion. The woman receives nothing but his company however she still loves. When the man isn't fully in frame, there is always a hint of him such as his arm, a profile, etc. It's likely that the rebellion march ending with Young being put on trial, and standing alone, is for indecency, possibly because of his love or art supporting his love… his "old time love" in the melody.
I was just about to ask someone to explain the video to me. Really interesting. I've just started his book "to be a gay man" so it seems all the more pertinent.
@@smellyellie1990 " The story is that I am this student leader of a group of artists, poets, political activists - bohemian people with free ideas and free ideals. I am in court for a variety of things that you're not quite sure of but certainly a crime of passion - I love the ambiguity of it. There are hints of running against modern-day capitalism or a controlling society where we are all robots. "It's the idea of a guy who is saying, 'Remember who you are, remember your soul'. It really resonated and touched on a lot of things that I believe in. "I really enjoyed making it and I think it's beautifully shot. I love the courtroom scene and the one with the judges eating ice cream: it's an important, seminal case and yet the judges are walking in with ice creams, it shows what their thoughts are on the legal process. "I think it's great and I'm very pleased with it - as you can tell!" Straight from Will Young himself
whyis it not requested like other songs on the tele makes me so sad cos he deserves tobe heard much more xx from dorothy shelley any way hes got anew album coming out soon xx
I don't believe that it's a failure I don't believe that it's a fault 'Cause if everything were plain sailing Oh, tell me what would there be left to exalt This line always sums it up to me about failure and never giving up.
One of the most beautiful, shocking and captivating songs from this century.. An authentic masterpiece. I wish there were many more in these unfortunate years, dominated by regaeton shit.
