The current UK full (maximum) pension is £203pw = £10,500per year. Not £15-£20k as you say. This is only for a UK citizen who has paid a minimum of 35 N.I contributions, so has worked a minimum of complete working years over 35years. It's only them paid out when the individual reaches retirement age. Currently 67 for males. A male retiring at 50trs will have 17yrs to wait until he gets any pension payments. So he'll need savings or another income to be able to retire.

All correct and I’d add currently if you retire to Thailand your uk state pension will be frozen and will not increase at the appropriate inflation rate
@keepitreal1547
@keepitreal1547 9 месяцев назад
@@onlyme2030 Exactly, yet no RU-vid channel I've come across ever mentions such. A channel as this promoting Thailand, should gather all facts together, double check them & only then put out such information.
@stephenharris7982
@stephenharris7982 5 месяцев назад
@@onlyme2030 so that's why you need extra savings to cover the inflation cost . At the moment you can live really well on that there a lot better than uk

I really think people in Britain should have to work longer. It's nice to see that the people coming into the country the Asylum is don't have to kind of like the British people paying the rest of the world off for their hundreds of years of just stealing😂😂😂😂

Collecting 6300 per month at 44yrs old from the Army. Planning to to live off 4k per month in a couple years when we move. Biggest thing about thiland is how safe it is. Was there for 2 weeks didnt see one DEI type.

I'm curious about the Thai pension system. One lady I dealt with when my wife and I got married told me the average non-government worker (aka most Thai people) could only expect about Bt600 per month in retirement. Is this accurate? What about government employees? Anyone have an idea?

The Australian aged pension is currently $28,500 per annum. Also Australians have had employer contributions to personal superannuation funds since 1991 so most will have additional funds that can be used to supplement the level of aged pension.
@Colincarpenter2
@Colincarpenter2 2 месяца назад
The Aussie age pension really isn't enough to live in Thailand unless they are really disciplined, reason is the average punter goes over there and things it is cheap and then gets into excess and ends spending more, they get some attention from women and end up broke, they injure themselves and wend up broke...

People need to get on an airplane and go see for themselves.
@ezellmclilly
@ezellmclilly 9 месяцев назад
Absolutely, get on a plane if you're serious about moving to Bangkok, go check for yourself and stop stressing over all the negative posts on RU-vid about things, have your $$ right first, nothing is free anywhere, only believe half of what you read on RU-vid, "it a volg for likes and subscribes" ok, get over there and make your own decision. If it is not what you want, then go somewhere else or stay in the Matrix (USA) and deal with what is going down in the "America Dreamland". I went to Bangkok/Pattaya City, two months ago, solo just to check out all the hype, my first time there, had a wonderful time, I hit, Tokyo Japan, Beijing China , Bangkok/Pattaya Thailand, and Abu Dabui. i am going back to Bangkok next year (August 2024) to finalize my plans to retire in Bangkok, look for condos and a area I want to reside in. January 2025, is my game plan to retire in the "Land Of Smiles". I got back from Bangkok, three weeks ago, turn on my local news and there a mask shooting at a Texas Fair, how sad, turn on my news today, 18 people kill in another mass shooting in Maine, East Cost USA. I'm taking my money and getting the hell out of the Matrix (USA). I am not going to spend the rest of my life dodging bullets. After 71 years, I am going to enjoy some retirement years and do absolutely nothing but spend my money living a peaceful rest of my life, tired of working hard and don't want to be dodging bullets and not knowing if it's safe to cross the streets in my home town here in Florida, my three full time retirement Pensions and my hefty 20 years of savings, investments, is all I need to cruise on for a few more great years. I am getting out of the matrix USA). Going to Thailand where it is illegal to own a fire arm..

John $1,000US is double what the average full time Thai office worker earns per month. With this, I can assure you, such a person isn't just surviving. A big issue for many westerners living in Thailand is, the want their western lifestyle but in Thailand. What about living the Thai lifestyle while in Thailand? Isn't that what people ought to be relocating for? For me it is.

Damm, you is one fine lady, meaning you are beautiful, so if I retire there, I need 16 hundred usdollars a month cN you break it down if I get a condo for 400usd a month how much my utilities will be like water and electricity aslo I like my western food like eggs bacon sausages and some times some fast food I dnt drink I dnt smoke so can you do a break down and where I best inexpensive condo Like 450 or 509 usd a month

@JJJJ-gl2uf 9 месяцев назад
Utilities (water, electric, internet) in our 1br condo are about Bt2000 per month. I know some people in the same building who pay more than double, but they keep their air con running 24/7 and probably don't get them cleaned very often, if at all. We recently bought a floor fan which reduced our electricity bill by about 25%.
