If there weren’t too many talk shows... The HOF wouldn’t even be a discussion. Should put a limit on you guys... NO HOF discussions until someone’s played at least 5 years in the pros AND accomplished SOMETHING Major. Last time I checked... Zion has done nothing as a Pro... Is Johnny Manzel going to make the HOF??? How about Baker Mayfield?? How about Josh Rosen?? This is SILLY... Wait until the kid does something BEFORE you ask about the HOF... Cause right now this is reee-diculous.
If anyone cares I’d appreciate if y’all would check my channel out. I talk about life, relationships, spiritually, current events etc. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED AND THANK YOU 🙏🏾
Peter Nguyen your right his prime explosiveness was his JR of high school he got hurt the summer going into his SR and his explosiveness declined still great but not 2016-2017
The boi zion is not serious. He lacks discipline. If he doesn't change his bad habits right now it's going to bite him in the future. I wish nothing but the best for zions career but he needs to be disciplined. He should learn from players like LeBron. Someone who spends over 1mill dollars on his body.
Shannon is on it, you can’t be 300lbs at age 20 and not expect to be 400lbs at 30 . This will not end well Zion needs to change his mind set or he’ll be out of the league in 5 years.
Right! I also lost 45 pounds since the quarantine. I was 260 back in February. If I could do it with just a hr of exercise every other day and eating more salads. He should of have been killing it. I don’t know who is in his corner but they really got to get his mind set right about diet and exercise. If this was duke Zion in the bubble the dude would average close to 30 😂😂.
I agree with Shannon....my high school coach always told us if we’re going to lose...it’s because we were outplayed not because we were out of shape and tired
I give Zion maybe 6 or 7 years before injuries end his career. And that's being generous. That body and play style can't last 82 games a year for a decade. Shannon right on the money here
Zion, need to gain some maturity and take some responsibility for his body. He has access to the best doctors, trainers and coaches. There is no excuse for showing up in this kind of condition. He has regressed. If he does not get his weight and conditioning under control, he is going to have a short, injury-plagued career! Plenty of guys have had shortened careers, or failed to reach their potential, due to bad conditioning: Shawn Kemp, Charles Barkley and others.
The issue with that is Zions playing weight is too big for 6'7. For him to have enough strength at 6'7 to overpower Centers he needs to be atleast 260 and even that is too high. If he slims down too much his game wont work, if he bulks up he'll still have the same weight issues. Zion looks like he has an extremely stocky frame. If he became solid he's still going to be 270
If they lose to the Kings tonight, I'm sending him back to New Orleans. Get him back to the teams facilities and do whatever you need to do, so he will be ready to go when the league restarts in a few months.
@@mariorodr7guez759 Im no bubble expert, but I think there was a limit on the number of staff that went. Plus, I don't think Disney has as much equipment as New Orleans has at their facility. He will be safer from Covid in the bubble, but should have a whole team to be able to work on just him back in N.O.
Zion needs to talk to Charles Barkley like Shannon said. Charles was also 300 lbs and had to lose weight to reach his full potential. Played at 250 lbs for his whole career
@Jiggy Thanos that's the point he just had 4.5 months off. He came back in worse shape. You see a ton of NBA players that are in rusty with basketball skills, but are in better shape than when they played last in March. That's not the case for him.
i do not know if Zion Williamson knows who Shannon Sharpe is ,but he can google him. Sharpe trained to be stronger since he was undersized for his position. His training regimen was so good he played thirteen years and now at over 50 he is still very strong at weight training.
If he’s playing, he’s gonna be DOMINATING. Simple as that. HOWEVER I don’t wanna see him become Shaq 2.0, meaning his own health stops himself from reaching 100% potential. Hope he’s more like LeBron in terms of dieting & remaining at great physical shape from start to finish.
Shaw was a hall of famer and 4 time champion from 92-2004 he was the most dominate big in the game. From 04-06 sub prime heat Shaq was still pretty good. Year 15-20 shaq was shell of himself. But when you come in at 7’1 300 LBS It’s real easy to become 350lbs once that metabolism slows down come on man.
Marquise Walston I think if you look at Zion rn he’s going to become Shaq in a Celtics Jersey quicker than shaq bc shaq came into the league in pretty good shape
I'm in full agreement with Uncle Shay. He has a TREMENDOUS upside. Great skill and like Skip said "soft touch". But his downside is glaring and can't be ignored like everybody has been doing
This is the moment where even though people hate Lebron Talking to upcoming talent that it shows how important it is Lebron or Cp3 someone Needs to talk to Zion and try to help him
Everyone saying “he’s always been big leave him alone” want Zion to fail if he was meant to be this big he wouldn’t be constantly getting hurt, he’s not a model he’s a basketball player and he has to get in shape to at least protect his joints if nothing else
Jiggy Thanos ignorance and lack of intelligence are two different things. plus it’s just a joke. and i’m sure you’re no isaac newton yourself. just chill out and let people have a good time. all you had to do was say “well actually it would be “skip farah” since usain is a sprinter.” or something along the lines of that. please don’t become the type of person that causes everyone to frown just by being around them. if you act that rude in real life people will begin to dislike having you around.
Zion gunna be a bust because of his weight. Hes like 20 years old weighing 300 at 6'5. Hes not even 6'6, I've met the guy in person and I'm noticeably taller than him
No the Key is Leg straight and core strength he is literally having a problem with his knees and running apparently he need to work on his lower body maybe just drop 10 pounds
Zion is basically a 6'6" shaq. However when Shaq first came in the league, he was 290 and kind of ripped. Zion needs to get to that level. Zion can get to 250 and be shredded.
I worry about his health to as far as him having a long career staying healthy...he's the only player in the league that I watch play and I get nervous because he has such a big body and so explosive I have doubts that his knees will hold up but I really hope he does because he seems like he really enjoys the game of basketball...with the money he makes and with the new technology I agree with shannon he can afford a full time chef to prepare clean meals for him so he can watch his weight because he has the type of body that it doesn't take much for him to put on alot of weight that he doesn't need
Zion needs to hire Tim Grover or the new Orleans pelicans organization needs to. I feel like Tim grover can get Zion body moving the way it should and prevent injuries and get his conditioning great.
If you’re jumping that high and that often your knees won’t last very long. That’s just how it is. Remember Derrick Rose before and after the knee surgeries. Zions good knee days are limited just like everyone who can jump like that
T Jordan thass what I’m sayen.. like tf 🤷🏽♂️ & like Shannon said yu got thee means monetarily & definitely girly thee time.. so Whass thee excuse that Zion hasn’t lost atleast 10 pounds in thee last 4 months 🙄🙄🙄
He has to become a professional...Signed a professional contract so responsible to perform like one.... which includes getting himself in shape to realize a great potential
he's gonna end up like guys such as t mac, grant hill, d rose. such an INSANE talent, but his BODY will LET HIM DOWN. it's NOT looking GREAT for him rn, which is SAD man. i LOVE this kid, i think he has LEBRON JAMES potential. but in order to DO that, he has to be IN SHAPE and STAY HEALTHY
I believe that the Pelicans were forced to minimize Zion’s minutes do to out of shape and bad his endurance is. Zion should hire a full time nutritionist to keep that body in check.
@@DrowningAreYou Jokic just slimmed down, whether it be diet or whatever, and he's a young vet. You can't expect anyone to have it all together at 19/20 yrs, no matter how much money they make.
Alvin Gentry has played the best defense on Zion thus far,The way i see it is Zions landing gear(lower leg area) isnt right for his takeoffs,I am amazed at Zions ability, but he looks to be at 320 to me,i give Zion 4.5 yrs b4 injury is a major problem
Zion has to get with the program.. I'm a married man with 3 children, and work 12hr shifts from time to time. If I can find 1 hr a day to hit the gym and eat healthier so can Zion. I wish Z all best in the world
If u look at Duke clips and then him in the bubble and it looks like two different people. I literally can’t believe he gained that much weight at such a young age. Even his high school highlight clips were only two years ago!! And his legs are absorbing all that weight everytime he runs and jumps. He HAS to lose the weight. Absolutely has to. He has to hit the weight room & get a nutritionist.
What happened to him looking ripped on that one pic?? Was it photoshopped? Wth he does look bigger now. His arms don’t even look as cut as before the bubble
I say Zion has 7 decent years in the NBA before his knees give out on him, he already had knee injuries and surgery in the not too distant past. Once your knees start to go, especially in basketball the count down to your career ending has begun. Zion doesn't seem to have the discipline he will need at the dinner table to keep the weight off to give his knees a rest so he can play long in the NBA. I think Zion was satisfied with signing those endorsement deals and getting all of that money, then building a respectable basketball legacy.
