BJ McLeod's #51 Jacob Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Southern 500 throwback paint scheme is from fictional character Russ Wheeler's #18 Hardee's Chevrolet Lumina in the 1990 movie Days of Thunder. Ironically, similar to the movie's Daytona 500 last lap winning pass, Brad Keselowski who wins the Southern 500 passes McLeod on the last lap, even though McLeod is actually several laps down.
