I think I’ve watched close to 10 RU-vid interviews where Friedkin talks about “the mystery of faith” as being central to “The Exorcist.” He made the movie, and he’s certainly entitled to his opinion, but I don’t buy it. For me it will always be a very creepy, scary and unsettling flick. But that’s it. Christopher Hitchens once said that God is not great, and the same thing goes for the Devil.
