This was a great interview. Many years ago watching William Regal on TV is what got me into liking the UK style of wrestling since I hadn't seen it before and had only seen the US, Lucha, and a very little of Japan style. I have always been a fan of the rogues of wrestling such as Piper, Flair, and others which is what made me a fan of William Regal. It is good to see he has overcome so much over the years and still has a positive attitude and is still able to be actively involved in the profession he loves. Technical wrestlers like William Regal and Dean Malenko were so good in WCW back in the Monday night wars you could just turn the sound down and be totally impressed with the things they could do in the ring and not give a damn about the storyline.

The knowledge this man has is incredible AEW guy's need to listen to him a lot more on how to build a match and tell a story he probably helped the original guy's of NXT make great matches

He is a wonderful man with such honesty. WWE really dropped the ball when they released Regal. I got something he said towards the end that he mentioned about when Hunter and Shawn both came in to manage the wrestlers, he didn't sound happy about it. Anyone else catch this ?

I read a heartwarming anecdote the other week. A small, underprivileged (artistic licence) child, back in the early '90s, didn't have much to look forward to in life but was somehow besotted by the 'Lord Regal' character on WCW. Obviously he was in direct contravention of the orthodox opinion of misguided patriotic peers at his faculty of education so he was ostracised, without a friend in the world. His sole source of solace was to invoke the spirit of Regal, strut around the house with a sneer on his face, one hand poised on the small of his back, the other deployed toward backward-wave dismissive gestures at those around him. His father, to borrow the vernacular of the protagonist, broke kayfabe on his bottom. I don't mind admitting it brought a tear to my eye.

His recent BCC pretape was amazingly good. Could listen to him for hours

Love this interview. Regal''s one of my 4 all-time favorite wrestlers. When I was doing the trade ppv advertising for WCW in the 90s, the people there said he was the man in terms of in-ring work. They also liked him a ton.

Huge fan of William Regal since his WCW days. He has done a lot for the wrestling business and the young talent. He was always fantastic at telling a story in the ring no matter who he wrestled. He always seems like such a nice guy and he was always great at being the bad guy in the ring. He could get fans to boo him almost instantly.

One of the few videos I've seen Regal speak with his real Northern accent. Alot of fans don't realize that the accent he uses on TV is a stereotypical posh accent which is like the complete opposite of one another

Regal is great . I'm glad he's paired with the best brawling wrestler of all time and the best technical wrestler of all time . Because Regal is one of the best overall wrestlers of all time . He was what you would get if you combined Mox and Danielson into one wrestler . I'm glad they got paired together .

I. have always felt that in any wrestling promotion, William Regal should have been a World Champion with a very long run. In a promotion like WWF/WWE they should have given William Regal a World Championship Title Run for a good long time. Dave “Fit” Finlay should have held the other World Championship. Just a longtime wrestling fan’s wish of what would have happened. I’m also a huge fan of the British Style of Wrestling because growing up watching Stampede Wrestling.

Damn good interview! It's funny how wwe let some of the best people in the business slip thru there fingers and go work for another company that can be viewed as the competition. AEW will become better with William Regal in the fold.
