Saliba has been the 3rd best CB in the league this season behind only Gabriel and Van Dijk. This is in only his 2nd season in the league and at the club and at 22 years old. There is every chance he will be the best CB in the world over the next decade.

Such a different system to Arsenal. Even just watching the highlights, I get nervous almost each time after Saliba passes the ball. He's showing composure as usual...but the other players don't seem as ready to receive and play out from the back. And the players just ahead of him seem to be running into crowded areas most of the time, rather than running into empty spaces...which makes it harder to pass to an open man and progress at the same time.
Ok if thats his reason why is he picking him....why dont he just leave him alone. To pick a player you dont want and embarass him in the public that is pure hate to say the least.

Saliba doesn’t look like he is playing any different for France than he is for Arsenal so I’m not sure what complaints Deschamps has. If he thinks Saliba is being too risky and not conservative than maybe France shouldn’t be playing with such a high line at times.
Deschamps is clueless the most overrated manager itw and he has massively underachieved with this French team if he doesn’t win the euros he needs to go. Deschamps is an overrated manager. Won the WC with an elite France team that had everything. In the last final his team looked clueless tactically. Had it not been for Mbappe, they would have not performed well in either of the finals.

It's a calculated jab aimed at making Saliba bring his Arsenal game to d French national team cos he believes Saliba has it in him. Didier is an experienced hand and he knows how to get d best out of his players. He knows their psychological make-up better than any of us,hence,he felt prodding Saliba would bring d best out of him and it worked. For my money, this is Saliba's best output 4 d French national team so far.
