Brilliant, love this series. William Shatner as a bad cop, didn't he also play a cop in the episode Ten Kilos To Nowhere, same series

Ask yourself this: Why do the police need a surgeon? It makes no sense. How about, "Police Baker"?

Well, it was Sam Groom's show. He only guest starred on one episode. Did better work on The Defenders that ran from 1961 to 65.

Sam Groom is from Rye NY. And the program was financed by a Joint US/Canadian firm. Chrysler Corp sponsored it, BUT the second season was so bad, Actors were walking out on their contracts. Too Bad, I liked the scenery

This was after that. I had no idea Shatner apeared on this obscure Canadian show. He was really hurting at this point to have done this.

@@jaywilson4520 If you look at the whole of William Shatner's career it's difficult to say he was hard up for work or if he just took any and every job that came his way. I have seen him guest star on Gunsmoke about this time and I have to wonder if this role on Police Doctor got him the starring role on T.J. Hooker.
