I would not think he's 90 years old. I would think he's in his 70s. Most people would lose their head to Dementia or Alzheimer's after 80. He's doing awfully well physically and mentally for his age! He might be able to live to be 110 if he's doing this well at 90!

This is what i wanted to see. Instead the first human spaceflight they were laser focused on a m&m. You can experience weightlessness on a plane.
@CaptainRetroStation
@CaptainRetroStation 2 года назад
Yeah, here you have the PRIVILEGE, and HONOR to be among the very few humans in HISTORY to view our planet from space, and these people are more excited about doing somersaults. Meanwhile, Mr. Shatner is GLUED to the window. Humbled to the core. Then, they make it back, and congratulate each other on their zero-g selfies, while popping open champagne. Meanwhile, Mr. Shatner barely has the words. I’m sure he wanted to use the word, “awesome”, in its original, and intended definition. But, I’m sure his traveling companions wore out its meaning, already. “Dude, did you see that totally awesome back flip I did in zero-g?” “Yeah, bro! It was awesome! I totally took an awesome pic of it while I threw Skittles in the air!” “Awesome!” “AWESOME!” Meanwhile, Mr. Shatner is weeping for the future.

It is wonderful when you learn an appreciation of someone. Here's the thing - a bit of Irony: to me William Shatner was not the perfect pick to go to space just because of the role he acted. But as it turns out, he was indeed the perfect pick, because he could express the experience and the important takeaways so brilliantly. Nice then that people listened to him because of his acting role. And how well he has matured - his 90 years have increased his wisdom without dulling his mind. So happy to see "THE Captain Kirk" SO engaged. I am so amazed that, really, no matter how he "seemed" to "experience" space and the vastness of it in each episode, in each movie, there are lots to learn and experience in truly seeing the earth as it is. Fragile. Alone. Life below. Death above in the black unknown. Very momentous to hear those statements from James T. Kirk. Teaching us how to boldly go where no one has gone before then, also teaching us how we should all be responsible in taking care of our fragile earth now. So happy that in that moment of his life, he was able to experience first hand how it is to go where not so many people have gone before, where his character should have spent almost his whole life in. Cheers to you, Captain Shatner. We'll always be grateful for you being James Tiberius Kirk. The original pasaway captain. Live Longer, and Prosper More!

Can't have life without death, light without dark, just a even a speck of that light gives us that hope and you saw that when you broke thru the atmosphere! You were the perfect person to go, IMO, to convey to us who have grown up watching you on screen and hoping for a new world of adventure and peace one day❤

@@retromousex5118 Star Trek was indeed "deep" yet great Creativity and Entertainment. That's why it has been with us for so long, in its many manifestations. The Original still brings great impact and inspiration given by the people involved in creating it, as Shatner displayed.

I think he lives on a ranch with horses (or use to). I recall watching a documentary about him about 5 years ago, where he was showing off his ranch style house. I think he takes time to be out in nature. He probably likes fishing. Plus he is Canadian. I think they naturally have good healthy genes for being able to endure the cold winters up there. Plus most Canadians I have met are super nice, good hearted friendly people.

He looks great and communicated the whole experience far better than I have ever heard anyone else do. I'm thinking a SpaceX launch might be too much for him (?), so I am glad he had this opportunity. Good Job Captain! :)

I would not think he's 90 years old. I would think he's in his 70s. Most people would lose their head to Dementia or Alzheimer's after 80. He's doing awfully well physically and mentally for his age! He might be able to live to be 110 if he's doing this well at 90!
