Call him what you will. You can tell William Shatner was hurt at Nimoy's passing. RIP Leonard. Bill Shatner is a good man.

He was so hurt that he did not even go to his funeral. William Shatner is all about himself. Not a true friend.

For all you Shatner haters who berated this man for not attending Nimoy's funeral, just chew on this video a little. Everybody deals with death in their own way. The bond between these two men went beyond a funeral, and I can understand Shatner being too heartbroken to attend.

+47imagine I agree. When you hit their age, it might not be what you expect. I could see a guy like Shatner specifically saying he doesn't want a funeral and just to scatter his ashes on his beloved ranch or something.

+47imagine Both Shatner and Nimoy are Jewish. In Jewish tradition there is nothing more important than helping people who are in need. Tikkun Olam - If you help just one person, it helps the whole world. Nimoy would completely understand what Shatner was doing.

When he said "I sent him an email at the very end." Ahgh! My heart just broke. You can tell from his voice that he wishes he could have done more. Say what you want about this man, but he clearly still feels such profound regret and loss over a very dear friend.

I'm personally familiar with Bill Shatner's serious contribution to charities, especially his charity horse show. He knows his charity work makes a difference. If people think a funeral ceremony measures his love for L Nimoy- they lack his and L Nimoy's values!

Awesome man!! Sad that they had a fallout between them and couldn't make ammends between them. Obviously you can see that Mr. Nimoy's death had a profound affect on him. Shatner has become a better person over the years, who seemed to have had some ego issues. it appears that he has mellowed out and improved his wisdom over time, as most do. Hope my mind is as sharp as his at 85!!!

Nimoy considered this self-centred man a brother in 2009. In 2015 Shatner could only send his 'brother' who had apparently fallen out with him an email when he knew he was dying and he didn't attend his 'brothers' funeral. Whatever Charity Shatner endorses or excuse for not attending Nimoys funeral will never erase the stain he placed on their relationship. Shatner is a fraud, disliked by the supporting actors he worked with for 40 years and most people who can see him for what he is when his mask slips. Nimoy was a true brother to him but this 'entity' is no brother to anyone only to himself. RIP Shatner as you are not of the living, fake, inanimate egotistical shape shifting judus who can lie to himself without even knowing.
@axab4333

I think that comment says far more about you than William Shatner. If Shatner was as you said he is, he would respond with bitterness and malice to the ongoing war George Takei has against him, when Takei really is self obsessed and very nasty. Shatner never responds to him in kind. That says a lot about the man and about people like you who choose to remember the past over who someone is now!
