Every time I hear Bill speak, my respect for him grows even more. Man never stops learning and has some pretty solid philosophical takes which are great.

@@philmarsh5593 Did I say it wasn't honest? I'm just saying to be honest I would have liked some trek talk especially considering it is a trek podcast including three trek actors. Yes it's refreshing to hear Shatner talk about horses but Trek is why they are all there. They could have touched on it a little at the very least.

I could very well imagine that not talking about Trek was a precondintion on Shatner's side. But what do I know 😃
@Bnio
@Bnio Месяц назад
Yeah, you would think with three Trek actors they would talk Trek. But, Shatner has literally written whole books about his time with Trek. We know the stories, or can find him talking about it elsewhere. Watching him nerd out about horses was worth the lack of Trek talk.

The story on the 1st horse purchase, I don't remember hearing about. But after decades of interviews from Bill, hard to keep them all straight. Actor like Bill is a true gem. Not just because of what he has done for a career, but the knowledge he has amassed in his life. Being curious and a learning sponge his entire life has afforded him to be a true wealth of information to be fascinated by. The story about the trees and how everything interconnects is not new to me. But then if you ever watched AVATAR, you will have learned it as well. lol

After discovering this new channel, I was so gratified to see that episode 1 brought us this wonderful interview with William Shatner. I appreciate his sharing of his love of horses, something which I share, but also his love of ecology and humanity. I also appreciated his stories of his time with the Royal Shakespeare Company at Stratford on Avon. Having Christopher Plummer playing opposite him in "Star Trek Vi The Undiscovered Country" must have been an interesting reunion considering how he played his role of "Henry the V" so many years earlier. This was a fantastic debut for Dom and Conner. God bless them in their endeavors.

Its amazing how good he looks at the age of 93. He doesnt act nor talked like a 93 year old man comparing to others like Sir Patrick Steward who is 83 years old, 10 years younger than Shatner who unfortunetly looks more like an elder and talks like a very tired old man. Of course everyone is different.

Horses have an odd history with the American continent. The very first horses evolved on the North American grasslands millions of years ago. Then they deserted North America and migrated across the Bering land bridge into what is now Siberia. And, then, of course, so much later, the Spaniards brought them back here.

Gentlemen. Today is August 25th, I was a subscriber to TSPS. So I'm mildly peeved that this wasn't recommended by youtube's algorithm. Seeing as Mr. Shatner is from my hometown & that our respective mothers knew each other, I'm obviously somewhat biased. That being said, This may have been one of the best interviews I've EVER seen him do. I decided to read through all the comments before I ask question(s). #1. What happened to ALL those wonderful paintings you amassed during SPS ( there are a few I wouldn't mind purchasing ). #2. I'm just a bit disappointed that in the opening, neither Dom or Conner gave us the reason that this wasn't the next season of SPS. Because it just doesn't make sense to me as you'd built up a pretty decent following. I've got a few more, but I'm looking to the right side of the page here, and I see that ep. 13's guest is none other than your former Captain.. and I'm literally itching to start watching it. Anyways, congrats on the new show and WELCOME BACK !!!

Welcome back boys, what a way to kick off a new show, The Great Kahuna himself. Connor has obviously been in the gym working on his laid back muscles as he looks more laconic than ever and Dom, with his pre-show guest research, remains a unique hybrid of a school swot and the naughty, cheeky kid at the back of the class. Outstanding first episode and it was only as the credits rolled and I saw that the lovely Lolita is EP'ing for you, I realised that you'd barely mentioned Trek the whole hour. Loved it. ❤🖖
