Chris Williams and Brent Blum discuss your top ten Cyclones and their win over West Virginia. Young linebackers are making a huge difference, Mouser and Heacock are some of the best in the biz, Big 12 news, more. Presented by Mechdyne.
I saw a recap show from a WVU site. They noted that according to PFF, this was Iowa State’s 2nd worst graded performance of the season and West Virginia’s 2nd best graded performance of the season. That’s wild-lol.
Glad you highlighted the clean game. My concerns w Campbell, that had become habits: untimely procedure calls; time management and wasting timeouts unable to get play in on time; mental errors leading to turnovers (physical will happen) What, if anything, has shifted? It feels like ISU is finally not shooting themselves in their foot, or putting themselves behind schedule. Is Mouser/Campbell more decisive? Feels like we got too technical and cute for our own good in the past.
I'm not an expert, but Mouser has definitely had an impact on what has changed. Certainly our running back room helps too with three different kinds of talent in a patient back, a power back, and jackson's speed
...general rule of thumb...doesn't matter the year, the conference, the team...if you beat a team, you hope they win ALL of their games AFTER your game... ...leading up to a game you hope an opponent takes some lumps...so...hoping UCF, Cincy, T-Tech, KU, the Utes, K-St8...all take some more lumps...
K states road isn't clear. Asu is no pushover and houston is getting better. Regardless if byu keeps winning all we have to do is win. Stop rooting for ppl to lose so that we can lose. We control our destiny and that's what matters.
Agreed on LB depth but the good news - Lovett, Ellis (did return) and Sawdusky all played. So hopefully Brezina comes back but that gives us Ebbel, Barnes, Goodwin, Lovett, Ellis, Sadusky and potentially Brezina gives us 7 LB's who are all playing or have had all played. Peterson has been playing great all year IMO. It'd be awesome if TO could get going though IMO Hansen might be slowing edging towards becoming the "feature" guy. Because he's also a sophomore and I think pass blocking, receiving and the way he runs . Also, some running backs never learn how to hit a hole. So I hope that Sama figures it out its not accurate to say its just tape and whatever ... some guys don't get that far. That's why there are 3rd down backs and 1st and 2nd down backs. There's not guarantee he'll get there Also, I think Hufford has a chance to be an NFL guy. He's played at tackle, guard and now center. Buhr I think is better than Neal at guard. Him and Haystert? (Spelling). IDK if its a huge coincidence the offense has looked better sans Neal than with him
Neal browns rant on officiating was stupid. The only egregious call/non-call was the intentional grounding that should have been called and he didn't even bring that up. The pi he wanted on the int was non-existent. And he coaches at this level but doesn't know the difference between holding and PI?
The Yakety Sax music is so distracting, I can't focus on what you're saying. I keep picturing Benny Hill running with the ball and trying to figure out who could be chasing him.
Sama needed to get more touches last night. It was tougher yardage which isn't Jackson's game. Needed Sama to take some of the load off of Hansen. Idk why he got benched essentially.
Cause he tries to bounce everything and runs too up right and misses the gap while not being patient. Hanson and Jackson form a very competent 1-2 punch right now. There is both no reason to give up on Abu but also there is no reason to force feed him the ball when Jackson and Hansen last week, or even Hansen alone yesterday , are doing really well. Sama's basically had 2 good runs, maybe 3 in 6 games. You can't keep stalling the offense just to give him carries. He played OK against Iowa but other than Houston he's been very below average.
@@stewartrickert2333 you misunderstood me. Its not about how Sama is playing it's about keeping the other 2 healthy. Jackson won't stay healthy running against tough nosed defenders where he can't get to the 2nd level clean. He's too small. Hansen likely won't stay healthy taking that many tough carries. Someone has to share the load. Hansen at 1 point looked like he WAS hurt. Gingerly left the field and was holding his ribs.
At some point you are going to have to accept that BYU has an amazing Defense. Utah game is the only one I am worried about and if ISU went to Utah ranked, I bet they would be challenged. How much do you have to win by before someone stops the disrespect? ISU just barely beat Iowa and Iowa is average.
Iowa is better than anyone BYU has played. BYU also has played a bunch of crap offenses. Is their defense good? Yes. Amazing? No. Iowa would beat K-State IMO.
