Adam Hosein He actually took part in a couple of Grands Prix back in 1980,Belgium and Monaco. He was a professional racing driver for many years,touring cars,Le Mans etc.He's a much better driver than Richard Hammond.

+Adam Kjellberg rubbish. Hammond in an 05 V10 Renault. The BMW v10 were the most powerful engines in F1 at that time. 910hp and upwards. Possibly tuned down for this show. This was an FW27

andrewford80 I agree they are way better than what we have now but not a touch on V10 or V12. Tbf though I've pretty much given up on F1 now its going to Sky and its so poor to watch. First time I've not watched a race this season in 20-25 years. Just the odd highlight and review and it so predictable and just a non event. BTCC is where to go.

he was driving on a easier track they said to was the fastest circuit in the UK the top gear track has some very tight corners very much a tougher track

+LOCKNLOAD6996 Hammond drove in Stowe circuit at Silverstone which is a karting track. Anyway Tiff is a former racing driver, so he was bound to do better than Hammond.

The outcome isn't the point. We wanted to see how badly the BMW got thrashed by the F1 car - how much quicker a lap the F1 car is, how much faster in a straight line, how much better in corners. I like Top Gear but it could never have given us that - it would have ended with something exploding, so nobody's real questions would be answered. There is little real knowledge to be found in Top Gear.

No mate, no. It doesn't matter if the Stig, Ayrton Senna (RIP) or even Michael Schumacher have driven the M5. It is simply impossible to beat an F1 car. Simply impossible, due to great amounts of downforce, great power-weight ratio, huge slick tires, better driving position, lightweight materials, alien like fast gearbox and much more... So no mate, get your things straight.

I didnt mention Stig racing in a M5 :P

More than lapped the m5 in just a few laps. Imagine if a real F1 driver was driving it, "30 seconds a lap" would have been more like 45 or 50 minimum.
