On the 3rd day of Arcademas, Overtime gave to me... a pair of WAR OSTRICHES?! (Or is one of them supposed to be a stork??)
Every home remodeling project starts with a nice "demo day," and #arcade restoration projects are no different. Join Charlie as he kicks off a new project to de-convert an original 1982 Williams Joust arcade cabinet and restore it back to its original glory. In part 1, we'll assess the mountain of work we have in front of us, then strip out the JAMMA harness and other parts from the SNK Street Smart conversion.

What your doing is fantastic please keep showing more of this content , i think better camera views would really improve the process.

That is actually the correct power supply for phoenix. It's kind of oddball for the time, isn't it. Makes it pretty reliable though.

Yup, it wasn’t until after this video that I learned Centuri used ancient switching power supplies in some (all?) of their games… including one I might be getting my hands on sometime this year…

Thanks! The more I think about it, the more I think you're right about this control panel having the optical joysticks... But where am I supposed to find a set of those?! 😅

Your restorations are great! Do you know anyone who would donate a arcade cabinet? Our school would like to have one to raise money for our eSports Club. We would like to place one in our cafeteria to raise money. Thank for your support.

Thanks, Justin!! What part of the world are you located in? I’ve been fortunate enough to find a handful of arcade cabinets for free on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist, but they typically need work before being ready to play.
