I watched a few of your videos before replacing the clutch on my Yaris. Thank you for making these as it gave me the confidence to do the job myself. You lift those transmissions like nothing. It wasn't fun putting it back. 😅
Absolutely awsome work kev,,i replaced my mates passenger handbrake cable this week,,luckilly ,i had a good weather window,,on the old faithfull wheel ramps, ,,boy was it difficult, but i persevered with it and got ther in the end, But boy,did i suffer for it,,i pulled a right chest muscle,,av been in agony all week,,,am beter now.. I love how you have the rachet spinning before it meets the bolt to saved that couple of seconds everytime . You should get a pop up gazebo for those rainy days! is the dewalt equivalent impact rachet las good as the milwakee? I already imapctor and drill so prob stick with them
My favourit....Boxer,Ducati,jumper or whatever citroen....i try to tske crank sensor out now after mashing connector olug on one...😊...the lower ball joints i take the 3 bolts out rather than the joint.....but theres the risking of rajjing a thread if not careful going back together...😂....Top job.....keep at it...youd be bored sensless being service material in a white shirt in a dealers......
Ty for the video bro have a good weekend also bro realistically how long does a transmission job take you to complete on average if I may ask 🤔 and were you able to warranty out your viking jack bro
Hi thanks for getting back to me, just so you know am x Accident repair, but in menny years I've in garages to, and have done a few Clutches in my time, am not in the came anymore, but still working. anyway I'll be doing it on my back, so can everything be done underneath, thanks again, and your videos are something else as in Boss skill and speed. Thanks Carl.
Hello WMCS, have you done a video of clutch replacement on a Comfort-matic type transmission, as fitted to Fiat Ducato? Your videos are excellent, but look to mostly be manual gearboxes? Cheers.
Kevin, what brand of clutch disc, pressure plate and flywheel would you personally recommend? My car is Fiat Panda 169 1.2 2012. I've read on some forums that supposedly Valeo and Sachs are the best ones. Which one do you prefer, out of these two or maybe some other brand? Thank you in case you'll be able to reply, and thank you very much for your videos, they're so helpful for gaining confidence (I'll try to change the clutch on my Panda myself!)
For a Fiat panda. I would personally use an Exedy. They’re more robust for smaller engines. Valeo is very good for the friction plate. Sachs has the best pressure plate for handling higher torque. And LUK is a good all rounder. A bit like a Sunday roast. It does the job.
@@WMCS Thank you so much for the reply, Kevin. I appreciate it and writing/noting it down. By the way (and I hope it's a useful suggestion), it might be useful to you to eventually create a Frequently Asked Questions page and just direct people to that. I'm sure people are usually asking the same few questions under your videos. Wish you best, of luck and health.
