I think it would serve you and viewers better to separate the videos according to the vehicle. you can still leave the full version but also make separate ones for each vehicle. Just an opinion, you are amazing
Good morning Kevin , once again I start off with good intentions on watching you change the clutch on this BMW 5 series . But as normal I wake to find you have gone and I’m laying on my side dribbling down my beard, it’s fun getting old 😂 , have a good week and stay safe 👍👍
Thank you Kevin for charing another week of bad weather work. Cross my fingers for better warmer weather next week. I could really feel the pain all into the bones. You must have Brittains strongest neck for sure. Cant believe how you can hold your head over the ground like you do. Just like how you keep these orange gloves intact. I would have gone through 20 pairs of them during one workday. Regards from Sweden with just as bad weather as you over the pond.
Another great video, thanks again for your help (regarding insignia). You were right, crap master cylinder, oem one, bought. the clip clearly fitted flush not extruding like the cheap one (so prob wasn't even right in the slot). So far so good, will bleed it again, pedal not quite rising all the way up but only gave it a quick bleed to make sure it worked, thanks again and have a great weekend.
The alignment tool for the clutch plate just reminded me…doing a clutch on an Hillman imp !!!! A long time ago. I used a length of dowl gently hammered it through the old clutch plate to create the splines then turned the end down to fit inside the bush in the flywheel. Then hope for the best. ??? Crazy!
Appreciate yeah brotha n ty for the therapeutic videos from life. I hope one day you get a job on an evo x and i can see how the pro does it you've got them skills to pay them bills yaeeyaae have a good one g @@WMCS
Impressive! I once did a clutch job on jack stands, but it was one of the hardest jobs I ever did. It is really impressive to see that you do this on a daily basis. I always notice you don't remove the exhaust on the BMWs. I'm currently thinking about doing a clutch job again on jack stands on a E46 6 cylinder. I already removed the exhaust which was again really shit since those bolts completely got rusted and broke done, even though they already had been loosened before, since a couple of those bolts have been replaced. The other clutch job also was on a BMW, and one of the reason I hate this job the most is because of that exhaust. On that one I was lucky though. The previous owner just replaced those gaskets, so it was an easy removal haha.
BMW asked that it be removed . But never once have I removed a gearbox with it being a hindrance

check out wood cribbing for cars. So much better than jack stands, but still use them as a safety. It holds the car up higher and for me its great to have more room
Watching the battery of the Qashqai left in the rain, gave me some goosebumps. It must be a water resistant battery, if you caught my drift. However, another great working week, well done!
Great video! I wonder if you do clutch jobs on 4wd cars? I own a Skoda 1.6 TDI 4×4 and it seems a bit more work to get the bevel gear and propshaft out of the way, and maybe some exhaust components..
Great Job as always! Got a question, have You replaced AF40 automatic transmission on Vauxhall VectraC/Signum? I need to replace mine and i was wondering if it can be done without two-post lift?
Hi kev. Is it OK to hear a very slight rhythmic knock from the gearbox side. ? It stops when I press the clutch and also goes away when the engine warmed up . Car drives fine
@@WMCS it won't even show up in a video but it's like a very slight knock / chugging sound. Does seem to stop after a drive. I don't think I should worry yet 😂
What if the shaft seal is leaking and needs to be replaced? Do you leave it or replace it too? How often does sealant leak because you never showed it in your videos?
All the earlier version was fitted with a single mass. And the clutch plate has the in built dampeners and springs quite robustly built. And they last a lot longer also.
How do you do it without the alignment tool ? Everythime i see you doing a clutch on a E60 or E90, you make it look like that tool is not even importent to have.
They still all work. But the impact gun start losing power after about 15 months of solid hardcore use. Then I retire them and stack them away. Sometimes the give them to some of my subscribers
@@WMCSvery cool. When you have one for your subscribers think about me. I have a memorial place here in my room for special mechanic things here upperfranconia.I appreciate your work and know how hard it is. :)))
@@WMCSThe "NEW" Milwaulkee High Torque Gen 3 impact (2967 / FHIW2F12) is out and meant to be a bigger beast than the old 2767 - 2" shorter in the body - I'm considering one but the - Price is still a little spicey at the moment though !!
