Williams Syndrome Sketch 

I had not heard of Williams Syndrome before. Ended up watching the 60min ep that followed. Recommend watching that also.

This was honestly a brilliant way to raise awareness. Mat is so caring, and the fact that he disarms the audience with a little humor and a few references to an actor that stole the fame he should have had himself, then gets straight to the point that people don't care unless they get something out of it is incredible. This needs to have more views and Mat needs to get more popular in the U.S.

My niece has Williams syndrome and there is a huge awareness issue. My entire family went out for the Williams syndrome "logo" tattooed on us and that helped. It's right on my chest under my collarbone so people can see it and I get asked about it all the time. I get a lot of "what is williams syndrome" "why does she have it" "I've never heard of it" and that opens the doors to awareness. I show them pictures, explain what it is, how she behaves, etc.

I have an older sister who is a Williams Syndrome. It is rather strange how people find this syndrome a illness. It is not an illness is a chromosome birth defect. My sister is amazing but it wasn't until about 8 years ago that we actually found out that she wasn't born with lack of oxygen and was a WS person. She is a shining star in so many ways, challenging in so many ways but never ceases to amaze us. Thank you for taking the time to help spread awareness. Getting help early is so important for the parents, families and the children.
