THESE WERE ONE OF THE TIMES CAT'S WERE TALKING ABOUT THAT REAL "BLACK" LOVE!!!!!! THESE CAT'S WERE SAYING SOMETHING BACK THEN..... SALUTE TO YOU MR.HUTCH!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Willie Hutch is the man. His music just makes you want to get up. It’s sad that most of his music is only played in Blaxploitation movies. A movie can be a terrible as hell, but it’s his music that makes it watchable.
The more i dive into the 70s Blacksploitation cinema, the more i hear the sound tracks, and i just love it. its the same with giallo films and italian cinema, Ennio Morricone is a god!!
One of the 🐐’s of soul music. Check out ALL of his songs & albums. I swear they are all 🔥! The mid 60’s thru the late 70’s is the greatest era of soul/r&b!
Yo- hear me out- It’s a mindblowa that this brotha, Willie Hutch, is not up there with the 70s Soul Legends like Barry White, Curtis Mayfield, Isaac Hayes, Teddy Pendergrass, Ron Isley and the Isley brothers, Lionel Richie and the Commodores, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Bobby Womack, etc- Not to belittle any of these guys, like I said, they are legends- I am here to elevate Willie Hutch- Not only does Hutch have an astounding voice, but he writes most of his own lyrics, plays his own instruments, and arranges/produces most of his songs and albums- Pretty rare for a black cat to do this in the 70s- Can we, as a community, start admiring and appreciating people who can play their own instruments, write their own songs, And do it for the love of music- C’mon people, Can you dig it? Oaktown here, Baby
Love this track...1974 Willie Hutch off the Foxy Brown Soundtrack, cooked mighty healthy all the way til the end. Most definitely Mellow Mellow. #MellowSquared #Soul #FoxyBrown
So ashamed 😂, 64 & thought I'd heard all the 70's & WH had to offer. Hearing this cut for the 1st time. Wow, this is smokin! Is there an extended version anywhere?! Need way more than 3 minutes! 🔥
The musicianship, Willie's vocals (those soaring notes) the lyrics, the production...why can't they music like this anymore? Even after 43 years this cut is still slamming. Outside of Kem and a handful of other artist today's music sucks. Be honest....who is still going to try jam all of this auto-tuned, and overly sampled BS?
