Willie Maes in NOLA is legit the best fried chicken I've ever had. Get there at 10 to wait in line to get in, its so worth it. Can't beat the atmosphere of the real spot. Its in a neighborhood all by itself. 100% not overrated.
@@kingmichaeln1 cause it's disgusting? Just cause you eat like a savage doesn't make that shit normal This just means that nobody would wanna eat with or around you It shows that your parents didn't raise you right nor taught you basic table manners if you had to say some bs like that?
I live a few blocks from this place and I won’t lie there a bit pricey but for the waiting it’s not always worth it haha. But Popeyes early morning fresh maid is a nice second 👍
@@tiswhatitis4066 as a food reviewer you can never really rate anything a 10. There always has to be room for the unknown and the food you haven't tried yet. Rating it a 9.3 just has to be his highest rating so far but it may not be a perfect 10. If that makes sense
I had a friend that once drove from New Orleans to Gulfport, Mississippi to make it on time for my lunch break with Chicken and all those fixings. They prepared the food fresh and it was still warm when I got it. The chicken was still crispy and the aroma was breathtaking. Although it was a surprise, a wonderful treat that may never happen again, I can honestly say, it was a 10/10 for me. All that way and was still good!!! I can’t imaging eating it there. Explosive!!!!
I waited in line 2 hours to be seated at Willie mae’s in New Orleans during essence festival some years back. BEEESST!! Fried chicken I ever had. I ordered my exact meal to go while I was in the middle of eating becz it was that good lol. Must try!!
Dang you always make me crave every good thing you review… 8.1 or better lol! Too bad a lot of these places are West coast but you definitely always do great job describing the experience!
I always find people’s ratings weird. I know people who say “this is the best _____ ever!” And then rate the item as a 9.3, lmao. If something is the best that you have had, then shouldn’t said thing constitute a 10? And if you can’t rate a 10 because you haven’t sufficiently had the full range of something, doesn’t that mean you shouldn’t be offering numerical ratings?
Cause what if you find something better? You can't go above a 10. A 10 is for something that is the best in the world. Not the best you have ever tried.
10 is perfect on and to be a 10 on the food scale the food has to be so good and make me so happy that I fail to see any other avenues to stimulate dopamine and later commit suicide
Best fried chicken I ever had was from some nameless soul food spot in rural Mississippi. Literally ran out of an old general store from like 1910. It looked very similar to that. I still say dream about it sometimes
That looks amazing. And I hate the sound of chewing, especially when it comes to crunch, but, I will say this.. it even sounds amazing. And that is huge coming from me! Problem is, I’m on the east coast so sucks to be me 😂 I won’t be having that anytime soon! ✌️ 💜 🍗
You live in New Orleans and never heard of them? Do you look at Where Yat magazine or Travelhost magazine, there are a lot of magazines there that highlight the city and restaurants.
