I usually hear Osborne Brothers and Mac Wiseman doing this song, I absolutely love it. Now I have two of my favorites of all time doing this song, thank you! Actually Merle is my all time favorite musician and never got to see him live or meet him. I tried My Exgirlfriend that lives in California knew Merle and her dad was Merles buddy. They told me Merle was sick and was gonna die soon a long time ago and they wanted to keep it on the down low, sure enough he died about a year or two later.His son or nephew, I forget was supposed to come on the music scene on a big scale before Merle passed to kinda fill the gap, but i guess Merle passed before that, so sad.I met the Osborne Bros and Mac Wiseman, Raph Stanley and a slew of other Bluegrass heroes on a few occasions, sadly never Bill Monroe though, go to bluegrass festivals, never know who you might meet and hang with... I have seen Willie several times and been around him never actually talked to him though.
