Just love love Willie! For my 80th birthday my family gifted me to his concert in St Augustine March 2023. one of his sons and three backups. His voice is still going strong. H e was my neighbor in Colorado in the late 1970's ! Bless you and happy 90th birthday Willie!!

Watching these old Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard videos is giving me optimistic perspective for the future. There’s a lot of us seniors out here who’ve smoked pot for 50-60 years behind closed doors because our livelihoods demanded it. As far as I can tell, we seem to be the ones still enjoying life and not taking current political situation and Covid crisis so seriously that we’re paranoid and filled with hate.

I think since social media has become so prevalent, nuanced truth (imaginative truth or virtual truth or alternative reality strategic truth) has replaced literal truth to the ease of making unverified statements for sales online. Watching Merle and Willie pass the joint back and forth is what we needed to remind of the medical benefits. But we have to be so very careful. There is a subset of the population with addictive personalities that can really messed up. For the record, this is a really good tune! I think atheists have a valid point by asking for which sense of truth we are speaking. We Christians should at least distinguish between "absolute truth" and "nuanced truth". As Pontius Pilate asked, "What is truth?"

Use to watch a skinny singer on WBAP, channel 5 in Fort Worth, Texas in 1961, can't believe how great he sounds today. He looks much better with long hair and wrinkles! Fantastic voice and still going. Roy P, El Paso. Tx.
